This role serves as a key financial business partner, providing analysis, insights, and recommendations that drive operational performance, productivity, profitability, and growth.\nThe Senior Financial Analyst will support budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, inventory and working capital initiatives, cost management, sales and margin analysis, and process improvement efforts. This position will partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance leadership to help drive informed business decisions and achieve site performance goals.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic manufacturing environment and influencing business results through data-driven analysis and collaboration.\nLocation: Auburn, NY - Hybrid based.\nSenior Financial Analyst Responsibilities:\nSupport the financial performance of the Auburn manufacturing site through detailed analysis, forecasting, and business partnership.\nAssist in the annual budget, strategic planning, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with operational and financial objectives.\nAnalyze variances to forecast, budget, and prior year results, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve forecast accuracy.\nPartner with Operations leadership to understand manufacturing performance, productivity, cost drivers, and savings opportunities.\nDevelop and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and improve the quality of financial reporting and analysis.\nPrepare monthly financial analyses and performance reporting for site leadership.\nSupport business reviews, operational performance discussions, and management presentations.\nPartner with Project Management and Sales teams to provide revenue, margin, and profitability analysis.\nSupport Business Unit Site Reviews and leadership reporting requirements.\nOwn and maintain site headcount and labor cost modeling, including workforce planning, personnel cost analysis, labor absorption, and productivity tracking.\nAnalyze labor spending trends and support planning related to workforce changes, productivity initiatives, and union-based labor considerations.\nSupport alignment of forecasts, budgets, and operating plans with functional leaders across the organization.\nAssist with goal deployment activities, including the development and tracking of productivity, cost, and operational performance metrics.\nProvide ad hoc financial analysis and strategic decision support for site and business leadership\nSenior Financial Analyst Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.\nMinimum of 4 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Operations Finance, or a related analytical role.\nWorking knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).\nExperience supporting manufacturing, operations, or industrial business environments.\nStrong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling capabilities.\nDemonstrated ability to communicate complex financial information to both business leaders and finance stakeholders.\nAbility to work independently while effectively partnering with cross-functional teams.\nStrong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, inventory management, and labor absorption concepts.\nExperience supporting headcount planning, workforce analytics, and productivity measurement.\nExposure to financial planning and reporting systems such as OneStream, Hyperion, or similar tools.\nExperience developing operational KPIs and performance metrics.\nXYLEM DOES NOT PROVIDE SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS POSITION.\nThe estimated salary range for this position is $ to $97,000 to $112,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
