This role is responsible for driving financial performance through strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting, operational analysis, and decision support.\nThe position partners closely with Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Site Leadership to improve profitability, optimize cost performance, support SIOP processes, evaluate capital investments, and deliver actionable financial insights. The successful candidate will play a critical role in aligning business strategy with financial objectives while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.\nThis role requires regular onsite engagement with plant leadership and operations teams.\nLocation: Auburn, NY (Onsite Minimum 2 Days per Week)\nSenior Manager, Operations Finance Responsibilities:\nFinancial Planning & Forecasting\nLead the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, monthly outlooks, and long-range planning activities for the Auburn site.\nEnsure a thorough understanding of all variances to forecast, budget, prior year, and strategic plan.\nProvide clear financial insights, recommendations, and risk assessments to support decision-making.\nCoordinate forecast, budget, flash review, and outlook activities with Operations Leadership and Finance teams.\nServe as the site's primary user for OneStream, ensuring timely and accurate forecast submissions.\nBusiness Partnership & Operational Support\nServe as a strategic business partner to the Site Leader, Materials Manager, Site Controller, and functional leadership team.\nLead weekly Risks & Opportunities (R&O) reviews to identify business trends, operational risks, and growth opportunities.\nSupport SIOP demand planning activities by aligning operational forecasts with financial expectations.\nPartner with operations leaders to drive productivity, cost optimization, and performance improvement initiatives.\nProvide financial leadership and support for Management Business Reviews (MBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).\nFinancial Analysis & Performance Management\nPerform detailed analysis of site performance, including: Revenue and sales trends Standard margin performance Customer and product mix profitability Backlog and bookings analysis Cost center spending Operational efficiency metrics\nPrepare monthly leadership reporting and \"early look\" financial assessments during close cycles.\nProvide recommendations that drive improved operational and financial performance.\nDevelop and track savings initiatives resulting from productivity and continuous improvement efforts.\nCost Management & Controls\nLead monthly cost center reviews with department leaders.\nMonitor spending performance against forecast and budget.\nPartner with leadership teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.\nSupport headcount planning and labor cost management.\nCapital & Strategic Initiatives\nSupport capital project evaluations, business case development, and post-investment analysis.\nHelp track process improvement initiatives and quantify financial benefits.\nParticipate in strategic initiatives designed to enhance profitability, productivity, and operational effectiveness.\nDeliver ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to support business priorities.\nSenior Manager, Operations Finance Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.\n7-10 years of progressive finance, accounting, FP&A, or operations finance experience.\nStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.\nDemonstrated experience supporting manufacturing or operational environments.\nExperience leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.\nAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.\nExperience with OneStream, HFM, or similar financial planning systems preferred.\nStrong financial modeling, analytical, and business partnership skills.\nAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.\nHighly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nPhysical Demands\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.\nOccasionally lift up to 25 pounds\nRegularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout office and manufacturing environments\nXYLEM DOES NOT PROVIDE SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS POSITION.\nThe estimated salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
