This role involves analyzing financial data, quantifying economic damages, assessing insurance losses, and preparing clear, defensible findings for attorneys, insurers, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial insights clearly in both written and verbal form. \nIn This Role, You Will: \nConduct forensic accounting investigations related to insurance claims, litigation matters, fraud allegations, and financial disputes. \nAnalyze financial records, business operations, profit/loss data, and other documentation to assess damages, loss calculations, and claim validity. \nQuantify economic damages, including business interruption losses, extra expenses, inventory losses, and other insured or litigated exposures. \nPrepare detailed expert reports, financial models, summaries, and supporting analyses. \nAssist legal teams by interpreting financial data and providing litigation support, including discovery assistance and deposition preparation. \nCommunicate findings to clients, attorneys, insurers, and internal leadership in a clear and concise manner. \nTestify as an expert witness when required (if applicable). \nMaintain strong documentation standards to ensure work is defensible, audit-ready, and aligned with regulatory and legal requirements. \nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams including claims professionals, attorneys, adjusters, and subject matter experts. \nStay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in forensic accounting and insurance litigation. \nWhat You Bring: \n10+ years of experience in Forensic Accounting or related field.\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. \nCPA or significant experience in forensic accounting within insurance or litigation settings. \nDemonstrated experience in financial investigations, damage quantification, insurance claims analysis, or related forensic work. \nStrong proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and investigative techniques. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, defensible conclusions. \nHigh attention to detail and exceptional analytical/problem-solving abilities. \nAbility to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nHistory of maintaining long-standing client relationships that generate repeat engagement, preferred. \nCPA – Certified Public Accountant, preferred. \nCFF – Certified in Financial Forensics, preferred. \nCFE – Certified Fraud Examiner, preferred. \nCVA – Certified Valuation Analyst, preferred. \nABV – Accredited in Business Valuation, preferred. \nOther relevant insurance forensic or litigation-focused certifications, preferred. \nWho We Are: \nYA is an international professional services organization providing forensic consulting, engineering, risk mitigation, and related services.
