Hard\nrequirement\nThe work........\nA substantial custody and\ndepositary book is transferring between institutions. The client records,\naccount structures and holdings behind that book sit across a legacy\napplication estate built up over decades.\nBefore anything moves, every\nclient and every record attached to them has to be found, understood and\nspecified for extract. That is this role. It is discovery and specification\nwork, not delivery of a platform.\nThe people who know the source\nsystems are German speaking and based in Germany. Much of the documentation is\nold and written in German. The backend is mainframe on both sides of the\ntransfer. Downstream applications include in-house Java systems and Power Apps.\nWhat you will do…..\n* Trace clients and their\nassociated records across the source application estate, and produce the\nevidence that the set is complete rather than asserting it.\n* Work directly with the source\nsystem owners to establish what each system holds, how it is keyed, and where\nthe same client appears under different identifiers.\n* Read and interpret the existing\nsystem and process documentation, including legacy German language material,\nand turn it into something the migration team can work from.\n* Define the extract, transform and\nload rules for client static data, account and fund structures, holdings and\npositions.\n* Reconcile migrated records back\nto source and produce the evidence that the book transferred intact.\n* Work with the mainframe platform\nteams on both sides of the move, so the target receives data in the shape it\nexpects.\n* Specify what the downstream\napplications need from the migrated data.\nRequirements\nEssential\n* Fluent German and English,\nbecause the source system owners work in German and the legacy documentation is\nin German.\n* Business analysis on a client\nmigration or a data migration, inside a bank or a securities services business.\n* Domain knowledge in custody,\ndepositary, fund administration or securities operations, covering client\nstatic data, account and fund structures, holdings and positions.\n* Data analysis you have done\nyourself: profiling, record counts, reconciliation, exception analysis, and the\nability to prove a number rather than report one.\n* Enough mainframe familiarity to\nwork with platform teams on data structures, file layouts and record\ndefinitions. You will not be writing code.\n* Able to work on site in\nDüsseldorf.\nDesirable\nExperience of a book transfer or\na business carve-out between institutions, rather than an internal platform\nupgrade, since the two are not the same job. ETL design and data lineage\ntooling. Depositary oversight or regulated reporting.
