It has over 1100 employees with employees residing in the beautiful Mudgee area, with all the facilities for a fantastic family lifestyle.\nJob Tasks and Responsibilities\nReporting to the Underground Operations Manager, you will develop, supervise, monitor and review the mine engineering standards and procedures forming part of the Underground mining operations at Moolarben.\nThe role will require you to:\nUndertake the role of Statutory Mining Engineering Manager.\nImplementation and verification of associated standards and management plans at the operation.\nMonitoring compliance and influencing improvements through leadership to build on our capability.\nPursue continuous improvement, excellence and a culture of responsibility and accountability.\nConsultation and involvement in the process of developing production plans to assess mining practices for compliance end efficiencies.\nLead the Mining Team in promoting a risk management culture at the Mine, ensuring employees identify hazards, looking for safety initiatives and improvements in the workplace.\nSkills and Experience\nTertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, or similar professional training.\nNSW practicing certificate of Manager of Mining Engineering for Underground Coal Mines.\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience as a senior manager or supervisor in a longwall mine.\nThorough understanding of relevant Work Health and Safety Act and Regulation Legislation.\nExtensive knowledge of Longwall mining systems and equipment.\nExtensive knowledge of Development mining systems and equipment.\nSuperior skills in process analysis with a strong systems-based approach.\nBenefits\nYancoal provides a range of benefits to appeal to the diverse needs of our employees.
