It has over 1100 employees with employees residing in the beautiful Mudgee area, with all the facilities for a fantastic family lifestyle.\nJob Tasks and Responsibilities\nAre you ready to start your career in mining?\nWith our organisation poised for growth, we are offering exciting opportunities for Trainee Open Cut Mineworkers to join our production team.\nA Surface Extraction Operations Trainee is responsible for a range of tasks including, but not limited to:\nLearn the foundations and content to develop skills and knowledge required in the Surface/Open-Cut Coal Mining Industry.\nOperation of Surface Plant and Haulage equipment. \nAbility to communicate with other Surface Operators, Processing Plant Operators and Haul Truck Operators via various methods (i.e. verbally, radio, safety cones and hard/soft barriers etc.) \nPerform manual labour duties & carry out tasks as instructed. \nAbility to identify and learn about environmental hazards in an Open Cut Mining Operation. \nAdhering to Health and Safety Policies and Procedures. \nSkills and Experience\nEssential Criteria:\nWilling to undertake an Order 45 Pre-Employment Medical. \nDemonstrated ability to work as part of a diverse team, have great communication and interpersonal skills. \nHave a high attention to detail. \nPhysically fit and capable of working in a physically demanding role. \nBenefits\nYancoal provides a range of benefits to appeal to the diverse needs of our employees.
