This role provides expertise in transportation commodities, supplier management, market analysis, and logistics procurement strategies.\nThe position collaborates with Logistics Operations, Central Logistics Engineering, Business Units, and Finance teams to identify competitive suppliers and drive improvements in cost, service, quality, and operational stability.\nThe main objectives of this position are to optimize transportation costs, improve supplier performance, ensure supply continuity, and support strategic sourcing initiatives across YNCA logistics operations.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelop a very high level of skill and ownership for the relevant subject\nPrepare procure strategies of transportation modes: road freight, sea, air \nProvide expertise to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality, and service.\nResearching, selecting, and purchasing Competitive Transportation Providers\nBuilding relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best prices\nLead improvement activities and workshops\nCommunicate globally (Spanish/English): verbal, written and in person (present)\nWork independently \nProcessing requisitions and updating management on the status of orders\nSupport the identification of new supplier, services, and integration. \nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\n\nDegree Requirements:\n\nBS in International Relations, Foreign Trade Studies, Engineering (ME, EE, IE), or related field to be considered.\n\nPrevious Experience:\n\n3+ years’ experience in Logistics and Purchasing especially Indirect\n\nTravel Requirements:\n\nMust be willing to travel within in MX, US, or other countries as required.\n\nOn Call Requirements:\n\nOn demand\n\nPROFILE REQUIREMENTS\nStrong knowledge of transportation/logistics operations and indirect procurement processes.\nExperience evaluating suppliers based on cost, quality, service, and reliability.\nStrong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage projects independently and make business decisions.\nAbility to drive compliance with procurement standards and processes.\nExcellent communication skills in English and Spanish.\nAbility to collaborate with cross-functional and global teams.\nProactive mindset with the ability to manage complex projects and continuous improvement initiatives.\nDeclaración de igualdad de oportunidades de empleo.\nYazaki está comprometido con ofrecer igualdad de oportunidades de trabajo para todos sin importar raza, color, religión, sexo, edad, estado civil, nacionalidad de origen, discapacidad, capacidades diferentes o cualquier otra característica legalmente protegida.
