To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Energy Systems Technical Manager in our plant in [[location]].\nMain tasks & responsibilities:\nTechnical Leadership & Organization Building\nBuild, structure, and lead the European technical team (engineering, applications, service), Ensure full technical capability to support:\nWater Absorption Chillers\nAuxiliary HVAC systems (cooling towers, heat recovery, controls, hydraulics)\nDefine technical processes, standards, service procedures, and documentation\nLead technical training and capability development for internal teams and partners\nCoordinate closely with Japan for:\nTechnical alignment\nProduct customization\nKnowledge transfer and escalation\nCustomer & Market Interface (HVAC & Industrial Clients)\nAct as the senior technical interface with customers, including:\nIndustrial sites\nOEMs\nEnergy and utility-related clients\nSupport commercial discussions with:\nHVAC system architecture input\nAbsorption chiller selection and sizing\nIntegration into existing thermal systems\nLead technical assessments, feasibility studies, and system validation\nEnsure reliable technical delivery throughout project lifecycle\nService & Maintenance Network Setup\nManage relationships with:\nHVAC distributors and system integrators\nLocal service providers and engineering firms\nInternal engineering teams and HQ experts\nBuild a reliable, multi-country technical partner ecosystem\nEnsure alignment across commercial, technical, and service stakeholders\nOperational & Strategic Contribution\nDefine the technical roadmap for absorption chiller deployment in Europe\nSupport scaling of HVAC operations across multiple countries\nIdentify and mitigate technical, service, and operational risks\nContribute to product and service strategy based on European market needs\nRequirements:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering / HVAC\nExperience in WFC\nExperience 5-8 years with areas:\nTechnical or engineering roles\nStrong experience in HVAC industry (mandatory)\nWater Absorption Chillers (mandatory)\nIndustrial cooling and thermal systems\nDemonstrated experience in setting up service and maintenance networks\nExtensive customer-facing technical experience\nPrior exposure to matrix, JV, or multi-stakeholder environments preferred\nExperience operating in multi-country / international environments\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.\nProficiency in English.\nMicrosoft tools.\nAvailability to travel\nAt Yazaki, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for everyone which extends to all aspects of the employment relationship.\nWe are looking forward to receiving your application and to get to know you.
