(e.g. audits, repair, vehicles on-hold and assisting with on-site customer repairs as required)\nSupervise any 3rd party sort / rework (e.g. Product Action)\nSupport on answering official and unofficial customer claims thoroughly, accurately, in a timely and technically correct manner to achieve customer approvals\nManage the tracking, analysis and reporting of customer quality claim information\nVerify corrective action effectiveness through the Manufacturing team.\nCoordinate and support customer visits / audits to Yazaki manufacturing plants\nSolve complex problems and prevent their recurrence by working with Manufacturing and the customer\nFacilitate customer visits for Yazaki manufacturing, design and quality groups\nLiaise with Manufacturing , communicating customer Quality Manual requirements and coordinating corrective action activities / responses\nAnalyze trends in factory defects focusing on manufacturing improvement areas\nConduct wiring system function and vehicle interface analysis\nParticipate in program launch preparation\nSchedule and attend manufacturing program launch reviews\nCoordinate with Manufacturing to provide customer support\nOffer technical support to internal groups\nSupport Program Management in the execution and monitoring of key program milestone events (GPMS)\nDevelop Past Problem History Analysis with the customer and Manufacturing.\nReviews the inspection standard to ensure smooth trial events and safe launch activity\nConduct manufacturing / supplier readiness reviews using the appropriate Yazaki or customer assessment tool\nSupports team members at build events: assembling / recording quality issues, assigning responsibilities, validating closure of defect concern\nIncorporates lessons learned into advanced program team activities\nPerform quality audits that support Key Strategies in manufacturing and distribution\nComplete and submit CSs and Quality Authorized Rework (AR) packages to instigate rework\nInitiate root cause analysis for identified quality issues using Global Quality Reporting System (GQRS) then direct the corrective action activities with Yazaki manufacturing and distribution facilities\nMaintain issue documentation through GQRS, QE Report, CS/AR and sorting logs\nKeep a working knowledge of customer carlines, Yazaki-supplied parts and manufacturing / quality processes\nIdentify critical product features, communicating to Manufacturing the key critical items and what activity to implement to prevent defects\nImplement and support continuous improvement activities\nParticipate in Key Strategies meeting: report launch updates, issue status, trial run impacts and other pertinent details\nReport to YNA Nissan management and customer management as requested\nSupport long-range and short-term group forecasts, goals, objectives, and priorities\nSupport other projects, tasks, and/or duties as assigned\nHandle and analyze the warranty claims addressed by the customer to Yazaki, and have a successful negotiation to get them removed from the Yazaki Supplier Score card.\nPrepare and submit warranty report (WLRC) periodically, to recover warranty costs based on Nissan procedure and Yazaki requirements, in order to keep Warranty costs within threshold (KPI), for both Nissan Mexico and Nissan North America.\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n\nDegree Requirements:\n\nAssociate’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field or equivalent experience preferred\n\nCertification Requirements:\n\nN/A\n\nPrevious Experience:\n\nRequired experience in : Automotive engineering experience or related field\nQEI: 2 years of experience\n\nPreferred experience in : Automotive engineering experience or related field\nQEI: 2 years of experience\nW/H manufacturing experience with the ability to read blueprints, problem solving experience, Control Plan, FMEA and high-level quality auditing experience preferred\nUnique Sr. QE: experience and / or training for ISO/TS Quality Management Systems preferred\n\nTravel Requirements:\n\nBoth domestic and international travel required branches, customer and manufacturing sites\n\nLanguage:\n\nEnglish 80%, keep a fluid conversation.\n\nSoftware:\n\nMicrosoft Suite\n\nOn Call Requirements:\n\nYes, during customer production hours including overtime and weekend hours.
