The Hardware Engineer / Test System Development Engineer will apply knowledge of PCB design, automotive electronics, embedded systems, and software development using C/C++ and Python to develop and support test solutions for automotive products.\nThe role involves developing integrated hardware and software solutions to validate automotive products, including instrument clusters, body control modules, driver information displays, and intelligent power modules. The engineer will collaborate with product design, validation, and program management teams to develop test systems, automate testing, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure test solutions meet applicable customer and industry requirements. The position requires a hands-on engineer with strong technical and analytical skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.\nWhat you will be doing:\nSupport the design, development, integration, and validation of automotive electronic hardware, PCB-based systems, and automated test systems. \nGather, analyze, and review requirements for automotive test systems and develop solutions that meet customer and industry requirements. \nDesign, develop, test, and integrate test system hardware and software. \nPerform hardware testing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system validation. \nReview schematics, PCB layouts, and hardware documentation. \nAnalyze CAN communication and troubleshoot network-related issues using industry-standard tools. \nDevelop software tools and scripts to support test automation, debugging, data collection, and analysis. \nVerify and validate completed test systems and provide ongoing support and maintenance. \nDocument test system designs, hardware configurations, and development activities. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful product development, validation, and testing. \nContribute to modular and reusable test system designs to maximize equipment utilization and reduce costs. \nWork effectively in a team environment while following established processes and best practices.\nWhat you will bring to the table:\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.6 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in test system development, test automation, or embedded systems.\n3 - 5 years of experience in hardware design and development, preferably within the automotive industry.
