This role ensures that all design activities are executed in alignment with project timelines, quality standards, and customer requirements. The supervisor will play a key role in coordinating cross-functional collaboration, optimizing workflows, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.\nSpecific activities:\nConduct detailed analysis and evaluation of existing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending appropriate solutions.\nDesign and implement process optimization strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time and improve product quality.\nReview and approve design outputs to ensure compliance with internal standards and client specifications\nCollaborate with engineering, production and quality assurance teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures and work instructions.\nUtilize design software and tools to create, modify, and validate process layouts and documentation.\nMonitor and analyze process performance metrics, such as cycle time, yield and scrap rate and develop strategies to meet or exceed targets.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, design standards, and training materials\nIdentify and implement process control measures, including statistical process control (SPC) techniques, to ensure consistent quality and reduce process variation.\nProvide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve process-related issues and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).\nLead process validation activities, including protocol development, execution and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis, corrective actions and preventive measures.\nProvide training and guidance to production teams on new processes, procedures and equipment to ensure successful implementation and operation.\nStay up-to-date with the latest advancements in process engineering technologies, methodologies and best practices.\nRequirements.\nBS degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or similar).\nExperience with process improvement tools and methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S and Value Stream Mapping.\nMore than 6-year experience in Manufacturing/Engineering related areas or in Wire Harness industry.\nMust be willing to travel in Mexico, Central America (up to 50% of time).\nBilingual (Spanish/English).\nUsing 2D/3D Software (i.e. AutoCad, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.), Process Simulation Software.\nKnowledge of process optimization techniques, process design, lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis.\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement.\nYazaki is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, marital status, national origin, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic.
