This role is ideal for an engineer with hands-on experience in electrical distribution, power distribution, or wire harness systems who is ready to take ownership of increasingly complex engineering activities and contribute to vehicle programs from early design through validation and launch.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAnalyze customer requirements and RFQ documentation to evaluate technical feasibility and support technical reviews.\nDevelop and document electrical system designs, including schematics, topology, power distribution, grounding, wire sizing, and protection device selection.\nAnalyze vehicle and harness complexity and develop solutions that optimize system architecture, cost, weight, and quality.\nPerform circuit simulations, electrical calculations, and architecture optimization studies to support design decisions.\nCreate and maintain logical and physical schematics, vehicle-level topology, and engineering documentation.\nUse 3D CAD tools to create and maintain product data and models according to customer requirements.\nSelect components and develop assemblies that meet applicable customer and vehicle specifications.\nPerform design and data release checks to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.\nCollaborate with validation teams to verify customer requirements through activities such as load surveys, short-circuit analysis, and other validation processes.\nSupport root cause analysis and problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 5 Why, 8D, or Six Sigma.\nParticipate in benchmarking, warranty analysis, cost-reduction initiatives, and VAVE activities.\nProvide technical support during prototype builds, vehicle builds, and product launches as required.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\nApproximately 4-6 years of relevant engineering experience, ideally within automotive product development, electrical systems, power distribution, or wire harness design.\nExperience with electrical system design concepts such as power distribution, grounding, circuit protection, wire sizing, schematics, and vehicle topology.\nExperience using 3D CAD software such as CATIA V5, AutoCAD, NX, Harness XC, or similar tools.\nAbility to perform or interpret circuit simulations and electrical calculations.\nUnderstanding of customer and industry specifications related to automotive electrical systems.\nKnowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Why, 8D, or Six Sigma is preferred.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams and communicate technical information to different audiences.\nWhy This Role?\nThis position offers the opportunity to work on the development of automotive Electrical Distribution and Power Distribution systems, contributing to engineering decisions that directly influence vehicle architecture, performance, manufacturability, cost, and quality.\nYou’ll work in a collaborative engineering environment where you can strengthen your technical expertise while taking greater ownership of complex product-development activities.\nDeclaración de igualdad de oportunidades de empleo.\nYazaki está comprometido con ofrecer igualdad de oportunidades de trabajo para todos sin importar raza, color, religión, sexo, edad, estado civil, nacionalidad de origen, discapacidad, capacidades diferentes o cualquier otra característica legalmente protegida.
