As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you will sit at the intersection of engineering and enterprise delivery, working directly with client-facing Solutions Engineers to configure, integrate, and extend Yellow.ai 's Conversational and Agentic AI platform for real customer environments. Rather than building generic product features in isolation, you will be embedded in live client engagements: shaping bot logic, wiring up production integrations, resolving complex technical issues, and translating client requirements directly into scalable configurations and code. This role offers hands-on ownership of how enterprise AI products are built, deployed, and delivered inside large organisations across banking, telecom, retail, and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside FDEs and Solutions Engineers on active client implementations to configure and extend the Yellow.ai platform.
- Build and test integrations between Yellow.ai and enterprise client systems (CRM APIs, payment gateways, authentication/security layers).
- Write and refine conversational flows, prompts, and JS-based logic (e. g., payload construction, currency/data formatting utilities) for client-specific use cases.
- Prepare technical artefacts for client engagements, including architecture notes, test cases, edge-case playbooks, and solution documentation.
- Participate in code and configuration reviews, adhering to deployment and delivery best practices for enterprise AI rollouts.
- Track and document implementation progress, bugs, and learnings to support internal and external stakeholder reporting.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in software engineering, technical delivery, or client-facing implementation roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, ECE, or a related technical field.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design, with a passion for applied/client-facing engineering over pure R& D.
- Practical hands-on experience with JavaScript/Node.js (or Python/Java) and strong proficiency with REST APIs.
- Good problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, comfortable explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git) and API testing tools (e. g., Postman).
- Comfortable with ambiguity and changing requirements in fast-paced client environments.
