Your judgment, communication, organization, and follow-through will make a difference every day.\n\nYou'll join a company that values quality, reliability, integrity, accountability, and people-first service.\n\nYou'll have strong team support and training, with collaboration between office and field teams to keep the operation running smoothly.\n\nYou'll have opportunities to contribute ideas, improve processes, and help strengthen the dispatch operation.\n\nYoung Electric Co. provides electrical services throughout the Portland Metro Area and Central Oregon, with residential, commercial, and industrial capabilities.\n\nAs the company continues to grow its team, you'll have the opportunity to strengthen the dispatch operation and grow your career within the company.\n\nYour New Role\nLocation: Clackamas, Oregon\n\nThis position is fully onsite in Clackamas, OR, with no hybrid or remote option.\n\nCoordinate and manage daily electrical service dispatch and technician scheduling.\n\nSchedule service calls based on customer needs, technician availability, location, and daily priorities.\n\nKeep electricians and field service technicians informed of appointments, schedule changes, and relevant job details.\n\nCommunicate professionally with customers regarding appointments, scheduling updates, and service needs, and promptly respond to incoming customer inquiries.\n\nMonitor the schedule throughout the day, adjust quickly when priorities or field conditions change, and proactively follow up on outstanding estimates to help fill gaps in technicians’ schedules.\n\nMake sound dispatch decisions that help keep technicians productive and customers informed.\n\nMaintain accurate customer, appointment, scheduling, and service-call information.\n\nCoordinate between customers, electricians, and internal team members to keep work moving efficiently.\n\nIdentify scheduling conflicts and dispatch issues and work toward practical solutions.\n\nTake ownership of customer inquiries and outstanding-estimate follow-up, work to convert approved estimates into scheduled jobs, and follow through on open issues until resolved.\n\nHelp create an organized, responsive, and professional customer experience.\n\nRecognize opportunities to book additional work when customers express a need. This role does not require upselling, cross-selling, or developing technical estimates.\n\nSupport service operations throughout the Portland Metro Area and Central Oregon.\n\nHiring Expectations: Apply today, complete a quick phone screening, and get ready for an interview with our team to discuss your goals and experience.\nRequirements\n1+ year of professional dispatching experience required.\n\n2+ years of dispatching experience preferred.\n\nStrong scheduling, dispatching, organization, and time-management skills.\n\nStrong customer service and telephone communication skills.\n\nClear and professional verbal and written communication.\n\nAbility to coordinate multiple service calls, technicians, and changing priorities.\n\nAbility to stay organized and make sound decisions in a fast-paced service environment.\n\nStrong attention to detail and follow-through.\n\nAbility to communicate effectively with customers, electricians, and internal team members.\n\nAbility to identify scheduling and dispatch problems and work toward practical solutions.\n\nFamiliarity with the Portland Metro and Central Oregon areas is important for effective routing and scheduling.\n\nComfortable using computers and learning scheduling, dispatch, CRM, or service-management software.\n\nHouseCall Pro experience is preferred, but not required.\n\nServiceTitan experience is also relevant and transferable, but not required.\n\nDispatch experience in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, construction/skilled trades, or emergency/911 dispatch is required\n\nElectrical experience is preferred, not required.\n\nYoung Electric Co. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
