Laws Electric is based in Plainwell, MI, and foremen travel to job sites across the service territory.\n\nLead commercial electrical projects from plans and layout through completion\n\nSupervise and provide day-to-day direction to journeyman electricians and apprentices\n\nPlan daily and weekly work to keep projects on schedule\n\nRead and interpret electrical blueprints, drawings, specifications, and construction documents\n\nDetermine manpower needs based on schedules, project priorities, and upcoming work\n\nPlan ahead for materials, tools, and electrical equipment to minimize jobsite delays\n\nAssign work based on project needs and crew capabilities\n\nTrack labor productivity, workmanship, quality, and project progress\n\nInstall and oversee commercial electrical systems, including panels, distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting, dedicated equipment circuits, service upgrades, and network cabling\n\nTroubleshoot field issues and make practical decisions that keep work moving\n\nEnsure installations comply with applicable electrical codes, project specifications, and safety requirements\n\nCoordinate work with management, general contractors, project stakeholders, and other trades\n\nCommunicate manpower needs, material requirements, scheduling concerns, project progress, and field issues to management\n\nTrain and support electricians and apprentices while maintaining crew productivity\n\nMaintain an organized, professional, and safe jobsite\n\nTake responsibility for the quality and completion of assigned projects\n\nHiring Expectations: Apply today, complete a quick phone screening, and get ready for an interview with our team to discuss your goals and experience.\nRequirements\nValid Journeyman Electrician license\n\nValid driver's license and clean driving record\n\n8+ years of electrical experience\n\nPrevious experience leading an electrical crew and managing projects in the field\n\nStrong commercial electrical construction experience\n\nAbility to independently run commercial electrical projects and crews\n\nWorking knowledge of commercial electrical systems, panels, distribution, branch circuits, fixtures, and lighting\n\nAbility to read and interpret electrical blueprints, drawings, specifications, and construction documents\n\nExperience planning manpower, materials, equipment, and daily field activities\n\nAbility to track project schedules, labor productivity, workmanship, and quality\n\nStrong electrical troubleshooting and field problem-solving skills\n\nAbility to coordinate effectively with contractors, other trades, and project stakeholders\n\nStrong organization, time management, and verbal communication skills\n\nAbility to train, delegate work to, and provide clear direction to electricians and apprentices\n\nAbility to work independently and make sound field decisions\n\nStrong commitment to electrical safety, code compliance, and quality workmanship\n\nAbility to satisfy Laws Electric's applicable pre-employment requirements\n\nLaws Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
