This position offers the chance to manage core accounting functions while contributing to broader financial planning and process improvements.\n\nYour New Role\nManage day-to-day accounting operations at Bradley Mechanical's North Chesterfield, VA office\n\nMaintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and complete month-end and year-end closing activities\n\nPrepare financial statements, management reports, and other financial information for company leadership\n\nOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll coordination\n\nMonitor cash flow and help maintain accurate financial records\n\nReview job costing, service department profitability, and operating expenses to identify trends and areas for improvement\n\nEnsure accounting records and procedures follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)\n\nAssist with tax preparation, S-corporation reporting, and annual audits in coordination with outside professionals\n\nMaintain internal controls and organized accounting documentation\n\nUse QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to manage financial data, build reports, and track key performance indicators\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve accounting efficiency through automation, software integrations, and updated reporting processes\n\nPresent financial findings to the COO and CEO to support budgeting, pricing, and operational decisions\n\nHiring Expectations: Apply today, complete a quick phone screening, and get ready for an interview with our team to discuss your goals and experience.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\n\nAt least 3 years of progressive accounting experience; 3-5+ years preferred\n\nActive CPA license highly preferred\n\nProficiency with QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop required\n\nStrong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial statements, and month-end and year-end closing procedures\n\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial reporting\n\nExperience with account reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management\n\nAbility to analyze financial performance, job costing, profitability, and financial KPIs\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve accounting discrepancies independently\n\nAbility to explain financial information clearly to company leadership\n\nComfortable learning new accounting software and improving existing systems\n\nExperience with ServiceTitan or similar field service management software preferred\n\nFamiliarity with Excel Power Query, Zapier, reporting dashboards, or other accounting automation tools preferred\n\nAccounting experience in construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, home services, or related industries preferred\n\nExperience developing financial dashboards and management reporting tools preferred\n\nAbility to work full-time, on-site in North Chesterfield, VA\n\nBradley Mechanical is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
