Perform architectural assessments of IT products purchased by the company.\n\nManage technical debt as an explicit portfolio: inventory, risk assessment, and a budgeted paydown plan.\n\nIntroduce a unified software development lifecycle and align it with the SSDLC.\n\nEstablish engineering metrics and quality standards and manage regularly against them.\n\nEncourage technical documentation and knowledge sharing as part of the company’s culture.\n\nIn collaboration with our DevOps and system administration teams, contribute to the implementation of modern CI/CD and infrastructure management practices. Adopt and scale the GitOps approach.\n\nParticipate in establishing SLAs/SLOs for critical services, incident and problem management processes, and postmortems, as well as in scaling observability across processes.\n\nTogether with our Information Security team, embed security into the software development process following Shift security left approach.\n\nDevelop recommendations on the organizational structure and roles of the software development department.\n\nTogether with line managers and the HR team, participate in hiring, performance review, and career development processes.\n\nFoster an engineering culture: ownership of results, measurability, and knowledge sharing.\n\nRequirements\n\n5+ years in technology leadership, including 3+ years at the Enterprise Software Architect / Head of Engineering level.\n\nExperience building engineering processes or substantially restructuring them.\n\nHands-on technical background: systems architecture, software development, integrations, and databases.
