It’s both challenging work and work with a purpose.\nBe a part of our successful, growing business during international transformation.\nPosition Summary\nWe're looking for a Full Stack Engineer with a strong back-end focus to help build and scale our energy market platform. You'll develop services that power settlement processing, bid submission, market workflows, and platform APIs supporting customers participating in wholesale electricity markets.\nWhile this is a full-stack role, most work is on the back end. Front-end work is expected but is generally limited in scope. Modern AI-assisted development tools are part of our engineering workflow and are expected to improve productivity across both front-end and back-end development.\nPosition Details\nSalary range: $95,000 - $115,000\nLocation: Hybrid (Boulder, CO) \nFull-time\nHybrid - 2 days in the office\nReporting to: Engineering Manager\nPrimary Responsibilities\nDesign, build, and maintain back-end services using C#/.NET.\nDevelop APIs supporting bid submission, settlement processing, and market workflows.\nBuild reliable integrations between platform components.\nDesign and optimize SQL Server databases and queries.\nContribute to front-end functionality using JavaScript when needed.\nWrite automated tests and participate in code reviews.\nDiagnose and resolve production issues.\nCollaborate with Product, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver customer-facing capabilities.\nUse AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development efficiency and code quality.\nMinimum Qualifications\n3+ years of software engineering experience.\nStrong C#/.NET development skills.\nExperience building REST APIs and distributed services.\nStrong SQL Server and database design experience.\nWorking knowledge of JavaScript.\nExperience working across the software development lifecycle.\nStrong debugging and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience building SaaS platforms.\nExperience with cloud-based applications.\nExperience in wholesale energy markets or financial transaction systems.\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools.\nAt Yes Energy, we value connecting directly with candidates.
