We are BUILT FOR THE WILD™.\nAbout the Role\nThe Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing the company's network infrastructure across U.S. corporate, retail, and distribution center locations. This role ensures reliable, secure, and high-performing network connectivity that supports business operations and employee productivity.\nThe Network Engineer serves as a technical expert for network operations and infrastructure initiatives, leveraging strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues and implement scalable solutions. This position partners closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and managed service providers to maintain a resilient and secure network environment.\nWhat You'll Do\nNetwork Infrastructure Management\nDesign, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless networks, VPNs, and internet connectivity.\nEnsure the stability, availability, and performance of network services across headquarters, retail stores, and distribution center locations.\nManage network hardware and software lifecycle activities, including upgrades, patching, configuration management, and decommissioning.\nMaintain network documentation, architecture diagrams, standards, and operating procedures.\nNetwork Operations & Support\nMonitor network performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents, outages, and performance issues using structured root-cause analysis methodologies.\nServe as an escalation point for advanced network-related support issues.\nParticipate in incident response activities and provide on-call support as required.\nNetwork Security & Compliance\nAdminister and support firewalls, network segmentation, access controls, VPN solutions, and other security technologies.\nPartner with Cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain secure network architectures and security controls.\nMonitor and remediate network vulnerabilities and configuration risks. \nEnsure compliance with company policies, security standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.\nCloud & Connectivity Solutions\nSupport network connectivity for cloud platforms, SaaS applications, and hybrid infrastructure environments.\nDesign and maintain connectivity solutions between on-premises and cloud-based environments.\nPartner with Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering teams to support business-critical applications and services.\nProject Delivery & Continuous Improvement\nLead or contribute to network infrastructure projects, site deployments, technology refreshes, and business expansion initiatives.\nEvaluate emerging networking technologies and recommend solutions that improve performance, security, and operational efficiency.\nDevelop implementation plans, testing strategies, and deployment procedures for network changes.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service reliability and end-user experience.\nVendor & Stakeholder Partnership\nManage relationships with telecommunications providers, hardware vendors, managed service providers, and technology partners.\nCollaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective network solutions.\nProvide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to other members of the IT organization.\nCommunicate project status, technical recommendations, and operational impacts to stakeholders.\nBusiness Continuity & Resilience\nSupport disaster recovery and business continuity planning related to network infrastructure.\nEnsure appropriate network redundancy, failover, and recovery capabilities.\nParticipate in testing and validation activities to ensure network resilience and readiness.\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering preferred, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nGreater than 5 years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in a multi-site environment.\nStrong knowledge of routing, switching, wireless networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall technologies.\nExperience troubleshooting complex network issues and implementing scalable, reliable solutions.\nStrong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Azure Network Engineer Associate, AWS Advanced Networking, or similar.\nExperience supporting enterprise networks across corporate offices, retail locations, and distribution centers.\nHands-on experience with SD-WAN, network monitoring platforms, and network automation tools.\nKnowledge of network security best practices, Zero Trust principles, and cybersecurity frameworks.\nExperience leading network infrastructure projects, site deployments, and technology upgrades.\nBenefits & Perks:\nClick here to learn about the benefits and perks we offer at YETI.\nYETI is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.\nOur commitment to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture is at the center of everything we do for our employees.
