We are BUILT FOR THE WILD™.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a PLM Product owner to serve as the functional lead and product-facing representative for our PLM ecosystem, including platforms such as Teamcenter and Centric. This role operates at the intersection of engineering, business teams, and IT architecture, acting as the key contributor in bridging business needs with scalable PLM solutions.\nThis is not a pure development role. Instead, this individual will function as a PLM product owner and domain expert, guiding stakeholders toward standardized, supportable, and scalable processes across the product lifecycle.\nThe ideal candidate brings a balance of functional PLM expertise, technical fluency, and strong facilitation skills, with the ability to influence decisions, improve adoption, and bring structure to environments with evolving governance and design practices.\nWhat You'll Do\nPLM Product Ownership & Stakeholder Alignment\nServe as the functional product owner and domain representative for PLM platforms (e.g., Teamcenter, Centric)\nAct as the primary liaison between engineering, business stakeholders, and IT teams\nFacilitate workshops and working sessions to drive alignment, clarify requirements, and enable decisions\nTranslate business needs into well-defined functional and technical requirements\nInfluence outcomes by recommending scalable, supportable PLM solutions, aligned to enterprise architecture\nProcess Design, Standardization & Governance\nLead definition and continuous improvement of PLM processes, including:Engineering Change Management (ECR/ECN)\nDocument management and lifecycle control\nCAD structures, EBOM, and downstream BOM alignment\nProduct data governance and classification\n\nEstablish and promote PLM governance standards, addressing gaps in adoption and consistency\nDrive process harmonization across multi-region engineering teams\nIdentify inefficiencies and lead initiatives to improve data quality, traceability, and process clarity\nCAD & Engineering Data Management\nSupport integration and alignment of CAD tools (SolidWorks) with PLM systems\nDefine and enforce standards for:CAD file structures and dependencies\nRevision and version control\nMetadata and attribute management\n\nPartner with engineering teams to resolve challenges related to:Data inconsistency\nPoor structure or usability\nLack of standardization\n\nEnsure PLM design supports real-world engineering workflows\nIntegration Collaboration (PLM Functional Lead)\nDefine and document PLM functional requirements for integrations in partnership with the greater architecture organization including:SAP (material master, BOM, and change processes)\nMDM platforms (e.g., STIBO)\nOther upstream/downstream systems\n\nAct as the PLM voice in integration design discussions\nPartner with integration architects and development teams to:Ensure PLM requirements are clearly represented\nValidate solution alignment with PLM processes and data structures\n\nSupport testing and validation of integrations to ensure data integrity and process continuity\nPLM Configuration & Functional Delivery\nPrimarily functional/system configuration (workflows and attributes), not custom development or platform engineering:\nWorkflow setup and optimization\nAttribute and data model configuration\n\nSupport solution validation through:Functional testing\nCoordination with QA and IT teams\n\nAssist in troubleshooting issues and conducting root cause analysis\nAdoption, Change Management & Continuous Improvement\nDrive increased user adoption of PLM tools and standardized processes\nDevelop and support:Training materials\nProcess documentation\nUser guidance and best practices\n\nAct as a trusted advisor to business users, helping them navigate PLM capabilities\nLead continuous improvement initiatives focused on:Adoption\nData quality\nProcess efficiency\n\nWhat You Bring\nGreater than 8 years of experience working in PLM environments\nHands-on exposure to platforms such as:Teamcenter, Centric, or similar PLM systems\n\nStrong understanding of:CAD/PLM integrations (e.g., SolidWorks)\nBOM structures (EBOM, Design BOM)\nProduct data and document lifecycle management\n\nExperience working in cross-functional environments bridging business and IT\nDemonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions\nStrong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders\nPreferred\nExperience supporting global or multi-region engineering organizations\nFamiliarity with SAP integration concepts, including:Material master alignment\nBOM synchronization\nChange management processes\n\nExposure to MDM platforms (e.g., STIBO or equivalent)\nUnderstanding of integration concepts such as APIs, data mapping, and system interoperability\nBenefits & Perks:\nClick here to learn about the benefits and perks we offer at YETI.\nYETI is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.\nOur commitment to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture is at the center of everything we do for our employees.
