We are BUILT FOR THE WILD™.\nAbout the Role\nYETI is seeking a hands-on Senior Shopify Developer to help own and evolve yeti.co.jp. You will deliver new customer-facing capabilities while providing production support for defects, incidents and integration issues.\nThe storefront operates within YETI’s Shopify / Boomi / SAP commerce landscape. You will own troubleshooting and development for Shopify themes, apps, APIs, webhooks, configuration and storefront behavior-while partnering with Boomi, SAP, QA, product and business teams when issues cross system boundaries. This is not a Boomi or SAP developer role.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, build, test and release Shopify storefront features using Liquid, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS.\nMaintain reusable, responsive and accessible theme components that support a high-quality Japanese customer experience.\nOwn complex Shopify production incidents and break/fix work: reproduce issues, inspect logs and API behavior, isolate root causes, implement safe fixes and document follow-up actions.\nTroubleshoot Shopify-side interfaces for orders, products, pricing, inventory, fulfillment, returns, refunds and payment-related flows; coordinate effectively with Boomi and SAP owners.\nIntegrate and support Shopify applications, APIs, GraphQL operations and webhooks, with attention to authentication, rate limits, error handling and maintainability.\nSet and reinforce engineering standards for testing, code review, performance, security, observability, documentation, Git workflows and CI/CD.\nProtect storefront quality through page-speed optimization, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, accessibility, cross-browser testing and disciplined third-party-script usage.\nProvide technical estimates and solution options, surface implementation risks early, and explain trade-offs to technical and nontechnical partners.\nWhat You Bring\n5+ years of professional web or software development experience, including 3+ years of significant hands-on Shopify development in production environments.\nStrong Shopify theme and Liquid expertise, including reusable sections, templates, theme settings and Online Store 2.0 concepts.\nStrong JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML5 and modern CSS skills.\nPractical experience with Shopify Admin and/or Storefront APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, metafields/metaobjects and third-party application integrations.\nDemonstrated ability to diagnose complex issues across themes, applications, storefront configuration and external interfaces.\nExperience with Git, pull requests, code review, automated testing, deployment workflows and CI/CD.\nSound understanding of web performance, secure development practices, accessibility and maintainable front-end architecture.\nClear written and verbal English communication and the ability to collaborate across distributed product, design, QA, operations and engineering teams.\nPreferred\nExperience with enterprise-scale Shopify implementations, Shopify Plus, Shopify Functions, Checkout Extensibility, Theme App Extensions or custom Shopify applications.\nExperience troubleshooting Shopify integrations with ERP, inventory, fulfillment, payment or middleware platforms.\nExperience supporting localized or multi-market consumer/retail storefronts\nBenefits & Perks:\nClick here to learn about the benefits and perks we offer at YETI.\nYETI is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.\nOur commitment to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture is at the center of everything we do for our employees.
