Yext is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing and dynamic International Accounting team. This is a hands-on position with a mix of accounting and operational duties. This role will primarily focus on intercompany accounting and payroll accounting for a group of entities, assisting in the day to day transaction processing and accounting, preparing account reconciliations in connection with the close process, and supporting the Senior and Lead Accountants with day-to-day workload. This role reports directly to the Team Lead, International Accounting based in India.

What You'll Do

• Record intercompany transactions across Yext entities, ensuring proper recording, reconciliation, and settlement of balances
• Prepare and post payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related G/L accounts (payroll clearing, statutory dues, accrued payroll liabilities) for assigned entities
• Preparing reconciliations and roll forwards, account analysis and processing month end journal entries for a variety of G/L accounts
• Support and assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Assist in preparing schedules and supporting documentation for statutory financial statements
• Support Senior and Lead Accountants with day-to-day workload and provide ad-hoc analysis when requested
• Assist in maintaining and tracking the audit query tracker for Yext international entities.
• Support the audit by extracting the underlying documentation and preparing adhoc reports
• Manage, analyze, and reconcile large volumes of data in Excel from various internal systems and the general ledger
• Support process improvement initiatives focusing on enhancing accounting processes, systems, and related internal controls 

What You Have

• 2+ years of post-qualification experience
• Working understanding of GAAP (Generally accepted Accounting principles) and accounting concepts
• Ability to manipulate and manage large amounts of data
• Collaborative style with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely on operational issues and cross functional collaboration
• Must be detail and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment
• Excellent written and formal presentation skills
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Prior experience working in an international business environment

Bonus Points

• Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent  degree in Accounting
• Prior experience with intercompany accounting and/or payroll accounting, ideally in a multinational, GCC, or shared services environment
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP/GL systems
