The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and operating the Company's payroll function, processes and systems, including global payroll, commissions payments, bonuses, payroll related taxes and certain business operations. The Payroll Analyst will partner and work closely with HR, Equity, and Finance teams. Reporting to the Team Lead, Payroll this person will be a true partner to the organization, always approaching work with a lens of adding value to the company. \nWhat You'll Do\nMaintain, operate, and update payroll systems/processes daily.\nExecute the payroll cycle for assigned Yext entities.\nEnsure bonuses/commissions/variable pay earnings are accurate.\nProcess payroll, commissions payments, and payroll tax transactions.\nPrepare the reconciliation for Manager review. \nProcess Restricted stock options recording and Employee Stocks Purchase plan management.\nInvestigate and drive resolution to payroll questions from employees, Finance, and HR teams.\nEnsure compliance with internal policies and controls, SOX as well as compliance with external laws and regulatory guidance.\nAssist with gathering supporting documentation for internal and external audit requests.\nCreate and maintain SOPs and supporting documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy, best practices and business process controls.\nClose attention to detail to ensure accuracy to eliminate any subsequent adjustments to payroll.\nCommitment to process improvement and re-engineer current systems to build efficient and scalable payroll processes.\nMaintain the payroll email and ticketing system to ensure all issues are addressed in a timely manner.\nWorking knowledge of processes, procedures, controls, regulations, and compliance as required.\nSupport the team with statutory research and regulatory compliance concerning payroll-related labor and tax laws.\nWork with HR, Benefits and Equity teams to develop processes for the timely reporting, recording and review of bonuses, new hires, promotions, and other compensation related changes.\nEnsure accurate earnings and deduction totals, review general ledger backup and automated system outputs (including ledgers, registers, and standard reporting), and identify and rectify any out-of-balance discrepancies.\nReview and process involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments.\nAssist with manual, quarterly, and year-end adjustments.\nAssist with ad hoc projects as needed.\nWhat You Have\nBA/BS degree.\n3+ years of Global Payroll experience.\nPayroll Certification is a plus.\nExperience with major Payroll and ERP systems (Workday, International Platform, ADP Smart Compliance).\nProficient in Microsoft Excel.\nHigh degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.\nDemonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity.\nAbility to work independently or as a team member.\nPerks and Benefits\nAt Yext, we take pride in our diverse workforce and prioritize creating an engaged and connected working environment.
