This position uses and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies related to the job. \n\nGENERAL WORK SCHEDULE:\n12 - 20 hours per week. Availability of work Monday - Friday, 10am - 3pm. Must be able to work occasional weekends. \n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nCleans and sanitizes all areas of the facility according to the daily schedule including but not limited to rest rooms, locker rooms, kitchen/lounges, sauna/steam room. \nUses the appropriate equipment and janitorial supplies correctly. Reports problems to the supervisor.\nFollows facility protocol to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, including but not limited to doorknobs, tables, chairs, light switches, etc.\nDry/wet mops hard floors. Vacuums carpets.\nWashes windows, dusts surfaces.\nEmpties trash and recycling containers.\nCompletes facility maintenance logs as directed.\nResponds quickly to clean spills and resolves unsafe conditions promptly.\nIs knowledgeable of and follows all YMCA and OSHA safety standards including Hazard Communications. Wears required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nMaintains the cleanliness of the grounds.
