This includes following all YMCA policies and procedures related to abuse prevention, reporting concerns or incidents immediately, and maintaining appropriate boundaries with youth and members. \nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to teach classes at a variety of days/times.\n Must be certified in something associated with yoga alliance\nAbility to work irregular work hours, including nights and weekends on occasion.\nAbility to walk, stand, and sit while maintaining alertness for extended periods of time.\nExposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.\nMust be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds in weight.\nPosition may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking.\nAbility to speak concisely and effectively communicate.\nVisual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.\nAbility to view/enter data for long periods of time.\nAbility to “spot” participants.\nQualifications\nAll mandatory YMCA of Catawba Valley trainings must be completed by the required date.\n3 years (300 hours) or more of teaching experience.\nProof of current Yoga Alliance Certification (or equivalent) Passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nReliable, self-motivated and self-starter.\nOutgoing personality with a natural ability to build positive and trusting relationships.\nStrong customer service skills and the ability to promote programs and services.\nEnthusiastic and supportive attitude.\nDemonstrates a professional demeanor and genuine committed in providing quality service.\nWilling to work flexible work hours based on client’s availability.\nBasic computer skills i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.\nBenefits\nEmployee Assistance Program\nRetirement Contribution\nOUR YMCA CULTURE:\nOur mission and core values are brought to life by our culture.
