Senior Database Reliability Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Database Reliability Engineer to architect, optimize, and maintain highly available PostgreSQL environments. You'll ensure reliability, performance, and scalability across large-scale, cloud-based database systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and manage highly available PostgreSQL architectures using AWS RDS and Aurora.
Optimize queries, indexes, partitioning, and database performance.
Manage backup, replication, recovery, and failover processes.
Troubleshoot slow queries, locks, deadlocks, and database bottlenecks.
Automate database maintenance and reliability workflows.
Support data migrations, application scaling, and operational improvements.
Maintain clear technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of production PostgreSQL experience.

Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud-native environments.
Experience with data platforms, ETL, analytics workloads, and monitoring tools.
Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
