Each rotation will provide exposure to different engineering processes, projects, tools, and cross-functional teams while allowing the student to build a strong technical foundation.\nRotation Opportunities\nDepending on business needs and the student's interests, rotations may include:\nAdvanced Engineering\nSupport development of new technologies, materials, processes, and engineering concepts.\n\nAssist with engineering analysis, research, and technical problem-solving.\n\nParticipate in design and development projects from concept through evaluation.\n\nWork with engineers and cross-functional teams to investigate and solve technical challenges.\n\nTire Development\nSupport the design and development of new tire products.\n\nAssist engineers with product specifications, design changes, data analysis, and performance evaluation.\n\nParticipate in development activities from initial concepts through prototype and testing phases.\n\nCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, testing, and other technical teams.\n\nMold Design\nSupport the design and development of tire molds and related tooling.\n\nAssist with CAD modeling, drawings, design reviews, and engineering documentation.\n\nGain exposure to design for manufacturing and the relationship between tire design and manufacturing processes.\n\nWork with engineers and manufacturing partners to address design and production requirements.\n\nTire Testing\nSupport laboratory and field testing of tire products and components.\n\nAssist with test setup, data collection, analysis, and reporting.\n\nHelp evaluate tire performance against engineering requirements and specifications.\n\nWork alongside test engineers to investigate results and identify opportunities for improvement.\n\nResponsibilities\nApply engineering principles to real-world product and process development projects.\n\nSupport engineering teams with analysis, design, testing, documentation, and problem-solving.\n\nCollect, analyze, and interpret engineering data.\n\nDevelop technical reports, presentations, drawings, and other engineering documentation.\n\nParticipate in design reviews, project meetings, and cross-functional activities.\n\nWork safely and follow established engineering, laboratory, and testing procedures.\n\nCommunicate technical information clearly to engineers, project teams, and other stakeholders.\n\nTake ownership of assigned projects and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.\n\nLearn and utilize engineering tools, software, and processes relevant to each rotation.\n\nKnowledge and Skills\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\n\nIdeally entering the second year of an undergraduate engineering program.\n\nStrong interest in engineering, product development, manufacturing, or the automotive/tire industry.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment.\n\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\n\nDemonstrated curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn.\n\nFamiliarity with engineering software, CAD, data analysis, or laboratory/testing environments is a plus.\n\nAbility to commit to a three-semester Co-Op rotation program.\n\nEducation and Experience\nWhat You'll Gain\nThis rotational Co-Op is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of how engineering disciplines work together to develop, manufacture, and evaluate tire products.
