Ensures electrical systems and components meet required specifications for safety, economy, reliability and sustainability.\nResponsibilities\nUnderstands safety is everyone’s first priority and completes OSHA 10 training\nLearns and understands plant electrical distribution system, NEC, NFPA70E, and UL requirements\nLearns and understands all facility related equipment, systems, and processes\nSupport maintenance and engineering projects during shutdowns and TPM’s\nWorks with maintenance team, contractors, and vendors to procure parts and services\nEnsures equipment installations meet safety, quality and productivity specifications\nCreates, modifies and maintains drawings using AutoCad or similar software package \nLearn the basics of project management, Emaint, contractor/vendor quotes and SAP purchase requisitions \nTroubleshoots equipment problems, be available to collaborate and participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams\nProvide support for shift boiler techs and learn basic PM’s required to maintain equipment in a 24/7 environment\nUnderstand plantwide fire sprinkler and alarm systems and learn about FM Global requirements\nTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to travel to overseas plants or corporate headquarters in Japan for additional training.\nOtherwise - minimal travel to attend educational or other business related activities.\nKnowledge and Skills\nCOOP’s, Internships, or other industrial / manufacturing experiences\nCapable of learning industrial machine controls, power distribution systems, and plant utility systems\nHas worked successfully in both team and individual environments\nHas strong technical and analytical skills\nDisplays excellent written and oral communication and is a good listener\nHas held leadership positions in school, community, or work environments\nSome basic knowledge of electrical distribution systems preferred\nBasic CAD capabilities (AutoCAD or similar) and Microsoft Office suite along with basic schematic abilities\nEducation and Experience\nBACHELORS DEGREE - BS - Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical degree)\nPhysical Requirements\nAble to bend, climb, stoop. Carry and access laptop computer from equipment to equipment in multiple locations throughout the day.
