Yonderland runs over 190 shops in Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Great-Britain and The Netherlands and resides in Belgium. https://www.yonderland.com/\n\nABOUT THE JOB OPENING\nWE ARE LOOKING FOR A SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER TO JOIN OUR TEAM\nAs our Senior QA Engineer, you will lead the design and execution of automated quality practices, ensuring robust, reliable, and maintainable test coverage across our backend and frontend systems. You will define our automation strategy, optimise CI/CD quality gates, mentor mid-level and junior QA engineers, and partner closely with product and engineering to shift quality left across our distributed engineering organisation in the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. \n\nYOU WILL \nTake part on Yonderland test automation strategy and framework(s) for APIs, services, and UI. \n\nDesign and implement stable, scalable, and maintainable automated tests (unit, integration, API, contract, UI, and performance). \n\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enforce quality gates. \n\nCollaborate with backend and frontend engineers to ensure testability and observability by design. \n\nIdentify and eliminate flaky tests, and optimise execution time and reliability. \n\nDefine and track quality metrics such as test coverage, failure rate, MTTR, and escaped defects. \n\nMentor mid-level and junior QA engineers on automation, tooling, and best practices. \n\nRepresent QA in architecture and design discussions to ensure quality and risk are considered early. \n\nDrive continuous improvement of testing processes, tooling, and test-data management. \n\nYOU HAVE \n5+ years of software testing or QA engineering experience. \n\n2+ years designing and owning test automation frameworks in multi-team environments. \n\nStrong scripting and debugging skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, TypeScript). \n\nDeep experience in test automation, including API and UI frameworks and CI/CD integration. \n\nExperience with performance, contract, and integration testing alongside API and UI automation. \n\nUnderstanding of REST/GraphQL APIs, backend services, and UI stacks (e.g., React). \n\nExperience with cloud platforms and containerised test environments. \n\nProven ability to define and enforce quality gates and quality metrics for delivery teams. \n\nStrong collaboration and communication skills with engineering and product. \n\nProficiency in English. \n\nAI CAPABILITIES \nThe following AI capabilities are a must-have for this role at Yonderland. \nFamiliarity with AI-powered test generation tools and the ability to integrate them into automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. \n\nUnderstanding of responsible AI testing: evaluating AI outputs for bias, fairness, and safety as part of acceptance criteria. \n\nEffective use of AI-assisted debugging, test synthesis, and defect analysis tools to improve QA productivity. \n\nAwareness of compliance and privacy considerations when test data interacts with AI models. \n\nBONUS QUALIFICATIONS \nISTQB Advanced, or an equivalent testing certification. \n\nExperience with observability and monitoring tools to support testing in production-like environments. \n\nExperience with AEM or other content management platforms. \n\nExperience in retail, omnichannel, e-commerce, or supply chain technology environments. \n\nMultilingual capabilities - Dutch, French, or Portuguese are advantageous for stakeholder engagement across Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. \n\nWE HAVE \nAn international environment with headquarters in Antwerp and offices in the Netherlands, UK and Portugal. \n\nOur Porto office located at Lionesa Business Hub. \n\nFull-time job + permanent contract. \n\nHealth insurance. \n\n26 days of vacation. \n\nFlexible work schedule and hybrid work model\n\nProfessional development opportunities. \n\nTrainings. \n\nCollaborative and inclusive work environment. \n\nTeam events like summer parties, Christmas events and much more!
