Reliability / DevOps Engineer to join the team, supporting a financial database platform built around business-critical database systems and related operational processes.\nThe role focuses on maintaining the stability, availability, performance, and reliability of large-scale databases, including environments containing terabytes of data.\nYou will work with database infrastructure, monitoring, upgrades, migrations, automation, and incident prevention in a highly reliability-focused environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonitor and maintain the reliability and availability of business-critical database systems.\n\nSupport databases containing terabytes of data and ensure stable operation in production environments.\n\nPerform and support database version upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.\n\nPlan and execute data migrations with a strong focus on availability, integrity, and risk mitigation.\n\nInvestigate production issues, performance degradation, and reliability incidents.\n\nImplement and improve monitoring, alerting, and observability for databases and supporting infrastructure.\n\nAutomate operational and infrastructure processes where appropriate.\n\nWork with infrastructure and database teams to improve resilience, scalability, and operational efficiency.\n\nParticipate in root cause analysis and contribute to preventive measures following incidents.\n\nMaintain and improve operational procedures, runbooks, and reliability practices.\n\nRequired Skills\nHands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Database Operations.\n\nGood understanding of database management and database reliability concepts.\n\nExperience supporting large or business-critical production systems.\n\nPractical experience with monitoring and observability tools.\n\nUnderstanding of performance monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and incident management.\n\nExperience working with data migrations and/or database upgrades.\n\nGood knowledge of Linux and infrastructure troubleshooting.\n\nAbility to work independently and take ownership of production reliability topics.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with AWS.\n\nExperience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.\n\nExperience with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms.\n\nPrevious experience working with Oracle Databases.\n\nExperience managing databases at terabyte scale.\n\nBackground in Database Reliability Engineering (DBRE) or SRE environments.\n\nExperience supporting systems in the financial services or other highly regulated
