We’re looking to expand our team across the board.\nWe are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who is excited about building and pushing the boundaries of software to operate spacecrafts. Our software is a modern (React/TypeScript, C# .NET) web-based application which operators use to monitor and task space vehicles. You’ll be responsible for working with engineers, operators, and customers to understand requirements and implement features, bug fixes, and other improvements. Prior space-industry experience is not required.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelop key user-facing features to support both current and future missions using C#, React, Typescript\nTranslate designs and requirements into high quality code.\nBuild reusable components, design systems and front-end libraries for future use.\nDevelop internal and external facing API’s.\nEngineer algorithms and business logic to power a rapidly evolving application.\nWrite unit tests and documentation.\nCollaborate with various teams and stakeholders.\nParticipate in technical design for new features and technologies.\nParticipate in code reviews.\nQUALIFICATIONS\n4+ years of software engineering.\nStrong full-stack web engineering experience.\nExperience with strongly typed backend languages, such as C#.\nExceptional problem solving skills.\nUnderstanding of modern React and its core principles.\nExperience with common front-end development tools, such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.\nExperience with Git.\nThorough knowledge of API’s.\nExperience with SQL Databases.\nEagerness to continue to learn and improve.\nDesire to mentor and participate in the growth of peers.\nStrong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.\nDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nComputer science degree.\nReact using TypeScript.\nExperience with modern state management tools such as Recoil.js, React Query, Mobx, etc.\nExperience with modern security practices.\nAbility to obtain and hold a security clearance.\nBENEFITS\nIn addition to compensation, York Space Systems is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance along with PTO and a 401K.\nHOW TO APPLY\nInterested candidates are encouraged to apply by clicking the “Apply for this position” link below.\nYork Space Systems will be accepting applications on a rolling basis until the position is closed.
