We also encourage and appreciate innovation - learn, deliver, innovate, and enjoy work is what we do every day!\nThis is a hybrid role - working from home plus some time in our Bradford office.\nAbout the role\nAs Software Development Engineer, you’ll design, develop, document, and create test automation of software and configuration that delivers value to YBS customers. This will include -\nDelivering API’s and Java Spring Boot Microservices that underpin our Digital platforms\n\nImplementing automated build pipelines and monitoring capabilities\n\nParticipate and lead peer reviews of documentation, code, unit and integration testing\n\nCollaborate with Principle Leads, Architects, Analysts, Scrum Master, and Product Owners to perform impact analysis and estimation on requirements and designs\n\nEnsure that system design meets the current design standards, is appropriate for current architecture and meets future architecture and infrastructure requirements\n\nProvide out of hours support for services and API’s\n\nAbout you\nYou’ll have hands-on experience of Java and Spring. In addition, you’ll be able to demonstrate -\nStrong knowledge of modern technologies and platforms used within digital applications\n\nDesirable skills include:\nRestful Design, working with API Gateway products (Google Apigee, Azure APIM)\n\nContainers and Container Orchestration - Docker, Kubernetes & OpenShift\n\nContinuous Integration Pipelines - Git, Jenkins, Azure AKS\n\nSecurity (OWASP, Certificates, JWT, Encryption techniques)\n\nKnowledge, understanding and experience of software delivery methodologies and the application of them using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Gitlab and Jenkins\n\nExperience with developing solutions that enable communications direct with customers\n\nAbout us\nAt YBS we don’t have shareholders, we have members.
