(ii) refrain from conduct and statements that detract from the biblical standards taught and supported by Young Life, and (iii) abide by all policies and practices of Young Life including, without limitation, those related to religious belief or ministry activities.\nJob Specific Working Conditions:\nCleveland Area YoungLives Coordinator\nYoungLives Coordinator\nSummary:The YoungLives coordinator serves, in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures established by mission leadership, to develop and sustain YoungLives ministries in the respective areas.\nEssential Duties:\nSpiritual Development - “Following Jesus” includes prayer and spiritual disciplines, fellowship, growth and health and church relationships.\nDevelop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life including time for solitude, retreat, reflection, prayer and a sincere commitment to understanding God’s Word.\nSeek and maintain relationships and disciplines, in the context of active participation in a church community.\nActively participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community.\nLead teams and individuals in spiritual development.\nEnsure that all Young Life ministry in the area, is designed and carried out with a dependence on prayer that takes place out of the overflow of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.\nLeadership Development - “Equipping leaders, committee and staff” includes key volunteer care, recruiting, team building and training, supervision and vision casting.\nMeet with mentors, childcare and other volunteer leaders on a regular basis.\nAssist in recruiting and training mentors, childcare and other volunteers to build leadership teams that reflect the community.\nAttend and be involved with area leadership as assigned.\nAssist in training committee, mentors, childcare and other volunteers how to work effectively in teams.\nModel excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners and camping to mentors, childcare and other volunteers.\nTrain and lead a team of mentors, childcare and other volunteers in developing a yearly ministry strategy.\nResource Development - “Fueling the ministry” includes events, major donor care, public relations (branding) and TDS team.\nRaise financial support as directed and maintain good donor care practices.\nCommunicate ministry updates and progress to personal donor partners.\nObserve and learn principles to develop strategic relationships with key adults in the community, including: principals, pastors, parents, potential committee members and more as assigned by the area director.\nLearn to plan and execute area fundraising events under the direction of an area supervisor.\nBecome a respected Young Life steward to the community for both kids and adults.\nPartner with respective area director to build a sub-committee for YoungLives.\nRegularly communicate and participate with the local Young Life committee.\nDevelop relationships with schools, teen parenting programs, crisis pregnancy centers and other applicable community organizations.\nDirect Ministry - “Proclaiming and modeling” includes contact work, club, Campaigners and camp.\nActively engage in all three levels of contact work.\nLead a team to plan and implement a regular outreach meeting with excellence.\nLead Campaigners meetings with excellence as assigned by the area director.\nLead a team to implement a summer and school-season camping strategy for YoungLives.\nServe on a summer assignment at a Young Life camp each year.\nServe on a summer assignment at a Young Life property, other Young Life camp or in another position each summer as directed by supervisor.\nMinistry Support - “Taking care of business” includes accounting, administration, communication (internal), data management and strategic plan.\nAdhere to all Young Life policies and procedures and maintain professionalism concerning office hours, dress, conduct and time management.\nEnsure that YoungLives health and safety policies are followed.\nManage finances with stewardship, accountability and transparency using the mission-wide applications.\nMaintain accurate information on kids, leaders and donors for area records.\nProvide clear, prompt, appropriate and professional communication to everyone involved in ministry. \nSet yearly strategic ministry plan and initiatives to reach every kid; review them on a regular basis.\nPerform other duties as assigned and congruent with gifts, experience and area needs.\nAccept both short and long-term assignments of projects.\nTraining:\nCompletion of at least two years as a Staff Associate. \nCore Training - phase one to be completed as a Staff Associate\nAttend YoungLives trainings as directed by the YoungLives regional and/or divisional coordinator.\nParticipation in missionwide staff conference every four years.\nParticipation in additional training or experiences if deemed necessary (e.g., more urban exposure;
