Successful candidates must maintain an exceptional level of physical readiness, outstanding marksmanship, and a highly professional demeanor suitable for interacting with military personnel, residents, and high-profile guests.\nLocation: USSOUTHCOM Headquarters, Doral, FL\nWorkplace Type: Onsite\nEmployment Type: Full-Time\nCompensation: $55,000 - 65,000 per year\nSecurity Clearance: Secret clearance preferred but not necessary.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to be part of our client’s team supporting the USSOUTHCOM Garrison. The main responsibilities of the role include:\nAccess Control & Patrol: Manage access control points, conduct vigilant patrols (foot and vehicle) of the residential community, and monitor security systems to prevent unauthorized entry or security breaches.\n\nDES Collaboration: Work alongside the U.S. Army Garrison’s Department of Emergency Services (DES) during daily operations, joint training, and emergency response coordination.\n\nEmergency Response: Act as a first responder to security alarms, medical emergencies, and potential threats, implementing established protocols calmly and decisively.\n\nReporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed daily activity logs and write clear, comprehensive incident reports for management and DES review.\n\nProfessional Representation: Represent the security force and the community with the highest levels of integrity, customer service, and vigilance.\n\nPosition Requirements & Qualifications\nTo be considered for this elite security detail, candidates must meet the following strict criteria:\nExperience: Minimum of one year of active, verifiable experience as an armed security guard, military police officer, or law enforcement officer.\n\nLicensing:\nActive Florida Class \"D\" Security Officer License.\n\nActive Florida Class \"G\" Statewide Firearm License.\n\nDES Standards Compliance: Candidates must be able to pass and maintain the rigorous standards set by the U.S. Army Garrison's Department of Emergency Services (DES):\nPhysical Fitness Standards: Must pass periodic DES physical fitness and agility assessments (which may include timed runs, push-ups, and sit-ups).\n\nMarksmanship Standards: Must successfully qualify and maintain periodic DES-mandated firearms and shooting proficiency standards.\n\nBackground & Screening:\nMust be a U.S. Citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.\n\nA DoD SECRET security clearance is preferred but not necessary.\n\nMust pass a comprehensive background investigation, including criminal history, credit check, and employment verification.\n\nMust pass a pre-employment drug screening and consent to random ongoing screenings.\n\nMust possess a valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record.\n\nSkills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (bilingual in Spanish is highly advantageous).\n\nPhysical Demands & Working Conditions\nAbility to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods of time.\n\nAbility to operate effectively in outdoor weather conditions typical of South Florida.\n\nPhysical agility necessary to respond quickly to emergency situations, detain intruders if necessary, and meet ongoing DES fitness qualifications.\n\nOur client provides a variety of benefits including company-paid health, dental & vision insurance coverage, as well as additional employee-paid health insurance options; company-paid life and disability insurance; 401k retirement savings plan with employer match; 11 company paid holidays per year, and paid time off.\nOur client is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
