The person in this role will own data pipelines, integrations and analytics tooling - including Snowflake and Power BI. The role will combine maintenance of existing integrations with forward-looking adoption of AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery and improve data quality.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, build, support and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines and integrations across the organisation’s data estate.\nDevelop and maintain data models, ETL/ELT pipelines and analytics solutions using Snowflake, Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI, and related tooling.\nTake accountability for the quality, performance and operational support of delivered data solutions, including legacy integrations.\nChampion effective and responsible use of AI-assisted tooling (for example GitHub Copilot, Claude) to enhance development speed, quality and efficiency.\nCollaborate with Development, Cloud and Security engineering teams to ensure data solutions are architected, delivered and operated securely and reliably.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex data issues related to data quality, performance and integration failures across modern and legacy platforms.\nMaintain and support existing legacy data integrations, ensuring continuity of service while planning and executing modernisation where appropriate.\nBuild and maintain dashboards, reports and self-service analytics capabilities in Power BI for business stakeholders.\nEngage with business stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.\nAdopt and promote a security-first approach in the design and development of data solutions, ensuring compliance with governance, privacy and regulatory requirements.\nContribute to the definition and evolution of data architecture, standards and best practices across the organisation.\nProvide accurate estimates of time and effort required for data engineering tasks and projects, and support capacity planning.\nPartner with Cloud and Development teams to ensure data platforms scale effectively within the cloud infrastructure.\nQualifications\nMinimum 5 years’ experience in data engineering, data warehousing or business intelligence roles.\nStrong hands-on experience with Snowflake or an equivalent cloud data warehouse platform.\nProven experience with Power BI, including data modelling, DAX and report /dashboard development.\nExperience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and integrations, including work with legacy systems.\nPractical experience using AI-assisted tooling to improve data engineering delivery.\nAdvanced SQL skills and experience with data modelling approaches, including dimensional modelling and star schemas.\nExperience working with cloud platforms ( Azure, AWS or GCP) and cloud-native data services.\nUnderstanding of data governance, data quality and data security principles.\nExperience collaborating with Development, Cloud and Security engineering teams in cross-functional contexts.\nExperience with Azure Synapse Analytics is
