Frontend Engineer II

We are looking for great engineers who demonstrate very high levels of agency and a strong bias for action. Experimentation, quick iterative cycles, transparency, ownership, and a sharp focus on shipping are values core to our engineering and product culture. In this role, you will work directly with our CTO, Soumanta Das (https://www.linkedin.com/in/soumanta-das/), on the Canso Platform. Canso is an AI agent-based platform that helps finance and banking companies deploy fraud controls and perform autonomous investigations.

Responsibilities:

• Build, manage and enhance the Canso frontend platform. Ensure it's high-performing and meets the security expectations of regulated enterprise environments, particularly banking and financial services.
• Prepare system design/architecture proposals for functionalities. Actively collaborate with Backend and AI engineers during system design reviews
• Collaborate with designers and other engineers to define requirements and technical specifications. You are also encouraged to share ideas on product experiences.
• Participate in code reviews and system design discussions.
• Champion engineering excellence by producing clean, extensible, and maintainable code with clear ownership boundaries, minimal coupling, strong separation of concerns, and unwavering adherence to architectural principles. We have a very low tolerance for technical sloppiness.

Requirements:

• Strong bias to action and high agency: You will not be micromanaged, and we expect you to diligently manage your time, stick to your commitments and communicate effectively.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript fundamentals and 1.5+ years of relevant experience in/track record of building web apps at a decent scale.
• Hands-on experience in frameworks such as React, Vue, and Angular and state management such as Redux.
• Familiarity with server-side rendering and prior experience in chat-based web applications with WebSockets is a plus.
