The role focuses on developing robust, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.\nThe Software Developer participates in requirements analysis, software architecture, implementation, testing, documentation, and deployment activities. This position works closely with Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Test, and Software Engineering teams to deliver innovative technology solutions that meet customer and business requirements.\nResponsibilities\nSoftware Development\nImplement software in C++, C#, and Python following written specifications, established coding standards, and company software engineering practices.\nDesign, develop, and maintain software applications for customer products, research initiatives, and internal engineering tools.\nDesign and implement graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for operator, engineering, and customer-facing applications.\nParticipate in software architecture development, design reviews, and code reviews.\nDevelop reusable software modules, libraries, and frameworks.\nTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects throughout the development lifecycle.\nSupport integration of software with hardware, sensors, control systems, and networked professional engineering environment.\nExperience developing software applications using C++.\nExperience developing applications using C# and Python.\nExperience with Microsoft Windows application development.\nExperience using Visual Studio and the Microsoft .NET development environment.\nExperience developing software in a team-based environment using source control tools.\nExperience with software testing and verification activities.\nExperience in robotics, autonomous systems, defense, industrial automation, marine systems, or similar industries considered an asset.\nTechnical Skills\nProgramming Languages\nStrong C++ programming experience.\nCompetent in additional programming languages, particularly C# and Python.\nStrong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.\nExperience developing maintainable, scalable, and efficient software solutions.\nSoftware Development Tools\nMicrosoft Visual Studio (.NET).\nGit-based source control systems.\nDebugging and software analysis tools.\nMicrosoft Office Suite.\nGUI Development\nExperience with cross-platform graphical user interface development, particularly Qt.\nExperience designing and implementing
