This position involves working closely with product designs and assembly instructions, including part preparation, sealing, and assembling to standardized plans.\nThe Manufacturing Assembler position requires a passion for building using mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, exceptional attention to detail, ability to use hand and power tools with dexterity and hand-eye coordination, working to timelines. Over three decades, our core values have shaped a supportive and creative environment that emphasizes employee engagement, technical excellence, and strong customer relationships.\nTo learn more about who we are and what it’s like to work at GeoSpectrum, we invite you to watch our company video by visiting www.geospectrum.ca.\nResponsibilities\nRead and interpret detailed manufacturing documentation, including drawings, assembly procedures, routing cards, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).\nAssemble components and sub-assemblies in accordance with defined processes and quality standards.\nWork as part of a skilled, collaborative team to hand-assemble components and assemblies while maintaining precise manufacturing tolerances.\nFollow detailed manufacturing procedures and product documentation to ensure accurate and consistent builds.\nApply a variety of skilled assembly techniques, including bonded assembly, encapsulation, and the use of hand tools to fasten, attach, and secure parts.\nPrepare materials for assembly through solvent cleaning and abrasive surface preparation.\nUse approved chemicals, adhesives, and compounds to bond and encapsulate components.\nComplete production and quality documentation accurately in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.\nIdentify products or components that do not meet quality standards and follow established quarantine procedures when required.\nUse a range of testing and measurement equipment to verify product specifications.\nApply labels, company branding, and exterior details, and package completed products for shipment.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation by caring for equipment, keeping the production floor tidy, and following all health and safety procedures, rules, and regulations.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent, and/or relevant hands-on workplace experience.\nExperience working in a detail-oriented, hands-on assembly environment.\nSoldering experience with strong manual dexterity; the ability to solder to IPC-A-610 and IPC-620 Class 3 standards is considered an asset.\nStrong computer literacy skills.\nExcellent reading comprehension, writing, and documentation abilities.\nExperience working with engineering documentation, or a willingness to learn.\nOccupational Health and Safety and WHMIS certification, or the ability to successfully obtain certification.\nSecurity Requirements\nAll candidates must be eligible to apply for and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security Clearances.\nTotal Rewards\nWe recognize that our people are our most valuable asset.
