Combining both proactive quality assurance and reactive quality control practices, this role works collaboratively with employees across all departments to promote compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and support a culture of continuous improvement.\nAs an agile member of the QA team, the QA Engineer contributes to a variety of initiatives, including product verification inspections, process development, and program and project support. Over three decades, our core values have shaped a supportive and creative environment that emphasizes employee engagement, technical excellence, and strong customer relationships.\nTo learn more about who we are and what it’s like to work at GeoSpectrum, we invite you to watch our company video by visiting www.geospectrum.ca.\nResponsibilities\nPerform quality inspections on sub-assemblies, products, and systems. \nWork with program and project teams to conduct elements of their quality planning. \nAttend program and project kick-offs, reviews, and readiness gates to ensure customer requirements are accurately captured and met. \nConduct root cause analysis of issues found by nonconformance reports, process audits, and corrective / preventative actions. \nSupport the development, review, and control of quality management system documentation. \nAudit internal procedures and provide feedback to management about risks and opportunities for improvement. \nAnalyze and improve systems, processes, procedures, or products by eliminating or minimizing non-value-adding activities. \nContribute to continuous improvement projects as a leader, stakeholder, or mentor. \nPromote and maintain all aspects of our ISO 9001 certified quality management system. \nOther QA responsibilities assigned by management. \nAdditional Responsibilities\nStay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. \nParticipate in organizational occupational health and safety education, prevention, promotion, and reporting. \nEstablish a personal professional development plan and attend all required company training. \nQualifications\nDegree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or similar). \n5-10 years of experience in a quality assurance role. \nCertification or experience working with LEAN, 5S, and ISO 9001:2015. \nProficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. \nProficient at data collection, analysis, and presentation. \nAdvanced computer literacy for process documentation. \nKnowledge of ISO 9001:2015 compliance standards is desirable. \nOccupational Health and Safety and WHMIS certification, an asset. \nAbility to obtain/maintain Canadian Government Security (Reliability) Clearance and Canadian Controlled Goods clearance. \nCore Competencies\nHighly motivated with the ability to work with limited supervision \nStrong interpersonal skills (conflict resolution, consensus building, ability to gain buy-in) \nStrong communication skills (presentations, facilitation) \nAttention to Detail \nService Oriented \nProblem Solving \nChange Management \nGoal and Result-oriented \nTransferable Skills\nQuality Assurance & Quality Control \nProcess Improvement \nRoot Cause Analysis \nData Analysis & Reporting \nAudit & Compliance Management \nSecurity Requirements\nAll candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security clearances.\nTotal Rewards\nWe recognize that our people are our most valuable asset.
