Over three decades, our core values have shaped a supportive and creative environment that emphasizes employee engagement, technical excellence, and strong customer relationships.\nTo learn more about who we are and what it’s like to work at GeoSpectrum, we invite you to watch our company video by visiting www.geospectrum.ca.\nResponsibilities\nCreate high-quality, user-focused product documentation such as operations and maintenance manuals, IETMs (Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals), and training materials.\nIncorporate diagrams and illustrations into written content to increase user’s understanding.\nWork closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, trainers, and program managers to gather and validate technical content.\nTailor content for customers, operators, and maintainers of underwater systems with the goal of simplifying complex information, making it easy to understand.\nMaintain consistency with internal style guides and documentation standards and specifications (such as S1000D).\nSupport other writing assignments such as program documentation, technical reports, proposals and internal documents.\nFollow internal company procedures for publications development and document control.\nRepresent the technical publications team at project meetings and design reviews, as required.\nQualifications\n3 years of technical writing experience and ability to simplify complex information.\nExceptional clarity and precision in writing, with a strong command of the English language.\nFamiliarity with S1000D specification is desired.\nExperience in creating Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals.\nExperience with XML-based authoring tools.\nAwareness of Simplified Technical English.\nComfortable working independently and managing multiple documentation projects simultaneously.\nOrganized with strong time management skills.\nAbility to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.\nCuriosity and willingness to learn about GTI products and open to new tools and technologies.\nExperience in Ocean Technology or Engineering is an asset.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word.\nSecurity Requirements\nAll candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security clearances.\nTotal Rewards\nWe recognize that our people are our most valuable asset.
