This position is onsite at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, FL. This is a unique opportunity supporting a network modernization effort within a classified CENTCOM environment.\n\nResponsibilities for the Network Engineer include:\nAssess existing Cisco Catalyst switching infrastructure and network topology.\nIdentify configuration gaps, single points of failure, and resiliency improvements.\nImplement approved changes on Cisco Catalyst 9300X switches.\nValidate Layer 2 and Layer 3 network functionality after modernization efforts.\nPerform failover, redundancy, and convergence testing.\nTroubleshoot network connectivity issues across switches, servers, and storage systems.\nDevelop network diagrams, configuration documentation, and as-built records.\n\nRequired Qualifications for the Network Engineer include:\n Active TS/SCI security clearance required. \nExperience with Cisco Catalyst 9000-series switches, preferably 9300X.\nStrong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts.\nExperience with VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, routing, and network redundancy.\nExperience with Brocade switches, HPE 280 and 380 servers, and NetApp.\nProven ability to assess and modernize enterprise network environments.\nStrong troubleshooting experience in production or mission-critical environments.\nAbility to create technical documentation and implementation records.\n\nCompensation for the Network Engineer
