You will work with experienced consultants and technical teams to translate banking, product, pricing, billing, workflow, integration, and data requirements into reliable technical solutions that support successful client implementations.\nYou will gain hands-on experience across solution configuration, development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, deployment readiness, and production support. At the Technical Consultant I level, you will focus on building technical expertise, delivering assigned implementation tasks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and developing an understanding of enterprise SaaS solutions and banking technology.\nWhat will you do?\nSupport implementation activities across product, pricing, billing, offers, eligibility, approvals, reporting, integrations, automation, and related platform capabilities.\n\nAssist in translating client requirements into configuration specifications, data mappings, technical documentation, test scenarios, and implementation tasks.\n\nConfigure, customize, develop, and maintain backend, frontend, API, integration, reporting, workflow, and data processing components under technical guidance.\n\nSupport the development and testing of REST APIs, file transformations, validation rules, error handling, and integration interfaces.\n\nInvestigate and troubleshoot technical issues related to application functionality, configuration, databases, APIs, batch processes, and data flows, escalating complex issues when required.\n\nExecute functional, integration, regression, and data-driven testing to validate solution functionality against defined acceptance criteria.\n\nParticipate in client meetings, technical discussions, solution demonstrations, defect triage, and delivery checkpoints alongside senior team members.\n\nCollaborate with business analysts, QA engineers, developers, DevOps teams, architects, and project managers to support successful implementation delivery.\n\nPrepare and maintain technical documentation, configuration records, implementation notes, test results, and knowledge-sharing materials.\n\nFollow established development standards, security guidelines, coding practices, and quality assurance processes.\n\nTake ownership of assigned tasks, communicate progress, and proactively identify blockers or dependencies.\n\nDemonstrate a customer-focused and consultative approach while developing an understanding of client business requirements and technical solutions.\n\nBuild technical skills through hands-on project delivery, mentoring, training, and continuous learning.\n\nCommunicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders, seeking clarification and guidance when necessary.\n\nWhat do I need to succeed?\nMust have:\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\n\n5 years of experience in software development, technical consulting, enterprise application implementation, or related technical roles. Relevant internships and project experience may be considered.\n\nFoundational knowledge of software development principles, object-oriented programming, data structures, and application design.\n\nHands-on experience or working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Python, or related backend development technologies.\n\nUnderstanding of relational databases, SQL queries, data analysis, and basic database troubleshooting. Experience with PostgreSQL is an advantage.\n\nFamiliarity with REST APIs, JSON/XML, web services, microservices concepts, and application integration principles.\n\nUnderstanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Git, Maven, CI/CD concepts, and Agile development methodologies.\n\nBasic knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, containerization, and deployment concepts.\n\nAwareness of authentication, authorization, secure coding practices, and common application security principles.\n\nAbility to analyze technical problems, troubleshoot application issues, and contribute to identifying practical solutions.\n\nUnderstanding of functional testing, integration testing, debugging, and software quality assurance practices.\n\nAbility to interpret functional and technical requirements and translate them into assigned development, configuration, and testing tasks.\n\nStrong analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and willingness to learn new technologies.\n\nGood communication, documentation, collaboration, and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.\n\nAbility to take ownership of assigned deliverables, manage priorities, and seek guidance or escalate issues appropriately.\n\nNice to have:\nExposure to banking or financial services technology, particularly pricing, billing, rates and fees, offers, eligibility, workflows, or financial product management.\n\nExperience with enterprise SaaS applications, client implementation projects, or configurable software platforms.\n\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes, Docker, cloud deployment environments, and messaging technologies such as Kafka or Redpanda.\n\nBasic exposure to NoSQL databases, caching technologies, OAuth, or deployment automation tools.\n\nFamiliarity with Apache NiFi or other ETL tools, workflow engines, data integration, or batch-processing technologies.\n\nExposure to automated testing tools, JUnit, performance testing, application monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.\n\nExperience participating in technical workshops, requirement discussions, system integration testing, deployment activities, or production support.\n\nInterest in developing expertise in enterprise banking platforms, SaaS implementations, and technical consulting.\n\nAdditional Job Details\nExpected Salary: CAD 55,000 - 65,000\n\nAt Zafin, we invest in our people.
