This position is responsible for filling orders by reviewing orders, picking materials from the shelves, wrapping, and loading on to the delivery truck. Warehouse Associates are responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.\nDuties and responsibilities\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nReceives, tracks, and maintains working inventory levels in the warehouse to ensure that all orders can be filled and delivered as needed in a timely manner.\nEnsures incoming stock is unloaded and stored correctly and safely in the warehouse.\nFills orders by reviewing orders, picking materials from the shelves, wrapping, and loading on to the delivery truck according to standards.\nMove materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas using pallet jack, forklift, or other equipment.\nSort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.\nMark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.\nRecord amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.\nAssist in counting of physical inventory.\nPrepare parcels for mailing.\nUtilizes docks, warehouse layout and route truck loading patterns and other techniques to increase efficiency and safety.\nFollows all safety procedures and safely operates equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations.\nOrganizes warehouse and work area for orderliness, cleanliness, and safety at all times.\nAssists with special projects.\nRequirements\nSkills and Qualifications\nMust be 18 years old or older.\nHigh School Diploma or G.E.D.\nOne year of prior warehouse experience preferred\nPrior experience with pallet jacks and forklifts preferred\nExcellent organizational skills and ability to work independently\nBasic computer skills\nBasic Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.\nAbility to problem solve, analyze information, and demonstrate professionalism\nMust display sophisticated writing and interpersonal communication skills\nWorking conditions\nThe worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, heat or exposure to chemicals\nThis position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.\nThis role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.\nOccasional travel is required.
