role\n\nResponsibilities\n\nOwn infrastructure projects from technical design through implementation and production rollout.\n\nDesign, automate, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform.\n\nDevelop and improve CI/CD pipelines.\n\nMaintain development, staging, and production environments.\n\nOperate, upgrade, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, primarily AWS EKS.\n\nMaintain and troubleshoot database infrastructure, backups, replication, performance, and high-availability configurations.\n\nImplement infrastructure security best practices, access controls, secrets management, vulnerability monitoring, and security remediation.\n\nImplement and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.\n\nParticipate in production incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive improvements.\n\nReview infrastructure changes and provide technical guidance to other engineers.\n\nCreate and maintain clear technical and operational documentation.\n\nCommunicate infrastructure changes, risks, incidents, and recommendations to client teams.\n\nRequirements\n\n7+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or a similar role.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with production AWS environments.\n\nStrong experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.\n\nProduction experience with Docker and Kubernetes.\n\nExperience managing and troubleshooting AWS EKS clusters.\n\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins\n\nStrong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.\n\nScripting experience with Bash or Python.\n\nPractical experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including services such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, RDS, Aurora, MongoDB, or Redis.\n\nUnderstanding of database backups, replication, failover, migrations, performance monitoring, and high availability.\n\nStrong understanding of infrastructure and cloud security principles.\n\nExperience with AWS IAM, secrets management, encryption, network security, vulnerability remediation, and least-privilege access.\n\nExperience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, or similar.\n\nStrong networking knowledge, including VPC, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, TCP/IP, load balancers, firewalls, and VPNs.\n\nExperience with Git-based development and infrastructure change workflows.\n\nUnderstanding of SDLC, release management, incident management, and production change management.\n\nAbility to independently plan, own, and deliver technical projects.\n\nExperience reviewing work, mentoring engineers, and helping other team members grow.\n\nWritten and verbal English communication skills, as the role involves regular collaboration with development teams.\n\nNice to Have\n\nAWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security Specialty.\n\nKubernetes certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or CKS.\n\nTerraform Associate certification.\n\nExperience working in fintech or other regulated environments.\n\nKnowledge of PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, or similar security and compliance frameworks.\n\nExperience with Terragrunt and multi-account or multi-region AWS environments.\n\nExperience with AWS security services such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF, Inspector, Config, and CloudTrail.\n\nExperience leading infrastructure migrations, disaster recovery, high-availability, or cost-optimisation projects.\nEngagement\n\nFull-time contractor.\n\nLong-term
