You will own modules end-to-end, set the technical direction for your area, and mentor engineers around you while staying hands-on with code.\n\nResponsibilities: \nDesign, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices for travel platforms (booking, inventory, fares, payments, or ancillary flows).\nOwn technical design for assigned modules from solution approach to production rollout.\nWrite clean, testable, well-documented code and drive high standards through code reviews.\nIntegrate with internal and third-party APIs (GDS, supplier, payment, and partner systems).\nOptimize application and database performance for high-volume, low-latency workloads.\nOwn and improve CI/CD pipelines, build quality, and deployment reliability.\nMentor SE II / SE III engineers and support onboarding within the team.\nWork directly with product owners, QA, and client stakeholders to shape requirements and clarify scope.\n\nRequirements: \nMust-have technical skills: Java 8 (and above) with strong fundamentals in OOP, collections and concurrency, Spring / Spring Boot framework, Oracle (or equivalent RDBMS) SQL, stored procedures, query tuning, Microservices architecture and design patterns, Web services SOAP and REST, CI/CD practices and pipelines, Git and standard branching workflows.\nProven experience designing distributed systems and making architectural trade-offs.\nStrong debugging and production troubleshooting skills.\nExposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP), containers, and Kubernetes is preferred.\n\nFunctional experience: \nPrior experience in the travel domain is required: OTA, airline, hospitality, GDS, or travel-tech platforms.\nFamiliarity with booking flows, PNR handling, fare/pricing logic, or supplier integrations is a strong advantage.\n\nGood to have AI and FDE: \nNot mandatory.
