We’re committed to building an inclusive culture based on trust and innovation.\nYou will be part of a distributed team developing new technologies to solve real business problems, they are building a new team that runs classifieds platforms across several markets (AI-driven platforms). The team will build new experimental products that use AI, working closely with the client's existing engineering ecosystem.\nWe are looking for someone with good communication skills, ideally with experience making decisions, being proactive, used to building software from scratch, and with good attention to detail.\nWhat you will do:\nOwn the technical direction and architecture of the squad's products, from early experiments through to production.\n\nStay hands-on: write code, review pull requests and build core components alongside the team.\n\nDesign services that run on GCP serverless infrastructure (Cloud Run) and make good use of GCP managed services.\n\nIntegrate new products with the client's existing landscape, which is mostly microservices plus a remaining monolith.\n\nGuide and support engineers of mixed seniority, setting technical standards and good engineering practices.\n\nWork closely with the Product Manager and UX Designer to turn ideas into technically sound, testable products.\n\nHelp the team build AI-powered features responsibly, balancing speed of experimentation with reliability and security.\n\nWhat you will bring:\n7 years of backend engineering experience, with deep, hands-on expertise in Java.\n\nStrong experience with Spring and/or Dropwizard frameworks.\n\nProven experience designing and running microservices architectures, and comfort working alongside legacy/monolithic systems.\n\nExperience with MySQL and MongoDB.\n\nHands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, ideally Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Firestore and Cloud Armor (strong experience on another major cloud may be considered).\n\nSignificant experience building AI-powered products, and genuine enthusiasm for working at the AI frontier.\n\nPrevious experience as a Tech Lead or Architect while remaining hands-on.\n\nNice to have:\nFamiliarity with the frontend stack: React, Next.js, Node.js, GraphQL and the BFF pattern.\n\nExposure to Flutter/Dart mobile development.\n\nExperience setting up a new team or product from scratch.\n\nWhat we offer:\n100% Remote Work\n\nWFH allowance: Monthly payment as financial support for remote working.\n\nCareer Growth: We have established a career development program accessible for all employees with a 360º feedback that will help us to guide you in your career progression.\n\nTraining: For Tech training at Zartis, you have time allocated during the week at your disposal.
