Zayo serves wireless and wireline carriers, media, tech, content, finance, healthcare and other large enterprises.\nZayo is seeking a Network Construction Manager to be primarily responsible for providing end-to-end customer support, solutions, planning and implementing fiber connectivity solutions, managing customer orders, handling customer service requests, coordinating installations, executing and serving as single point of contact for customers, post-sale, providing direction and project ownership by leading the implementation, execution and communication of projects / orders for customers.\nWork Authorization Requirement: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization, such as OPT, TN, H1B or any other type of work visa, now or in the future.\nNOTE: This role will serve Pennsylvania with an ideal location in the western suburbs of Philadelphia. Some travel is required in the region. **The role is part of the Fleet Zayo policy and will be subject to DMV requirements.\nResponsibilities:\nManage the pre-construction and construction phases of the OSP project - deliver on time, on budget, and within quality and safety standards. \nManage the Relocations projects preconstruction work, construction activities and closeout.\nDaily management of construction vendors to expedite the construction and splicing of OSP facilities.\nManage relationships with jurisdictions and ROW contacts such as cities, counties and railroad. Working in close relationship with underlying rights group to identify and prepare encroachment permitting, franchise agreements and building access agreement.\nOversee timely permitting submittal and on time performance of engineering and construction vendors.\nAssist in the planning and implementation of fiber connectivity solutions programs and projects that adhere to approved plans, budgets and schedules. \nProvide specialized telecommunications technical expertise.\nCoordinate and facilitate with internal and external resources to affect the timely completion of projects.\nCreate and track project budgets in relationship to Network Operations.\nProvide direct interface with customers, subcontractors, jurisdictional authorities and interoffice personnel. Support customer meetings as necessary which require in-person meetings and travel to clients and/or construction sites.\nOversee procurement of equipment and materials related to the assigned projects.\nExecute Bid Process, inclusive of budgetary requirements and the tracking thereof.\nVerify and update project documentation.\nTimely tracking of project progress and budget in Salesforce and manual tracker.\nTimely update of budget requests, purchase orders, project close out and internal service orders in Salesforce.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree preferred.\nMinimum of seven (7) years in the telecommunications industry with outside plant, fiber optics, telecommunication architectures, optical transport equipment, and project management experience.\nMust be conversant/have working knowledge of structured cabling, routing, switching, and IP protocols.\nMinimum of four (4) years familiarity with all types of outside plant construction and experience managing large capital projects required.\nFamiliar with Email, MS Excel, Word, Google Earth.\nMust be able to manage multiple aggressive RFP and design construction schedules and responses.\nMust be able to understand and read construction documents.\nFamiliar with all facets of OSP management, including quoting, construction and delivery.\nProven negotiation skills.\nBusiness minded and able to maintain a commercial focus.\nMust possess a valid driver’s license and is expected to drive as required to his/her assigned projects to ensure on time and on budget delivery.\nMust perform on-site surveys and attend field meetings required to ensure projects meet the delivery/ commitment dates identified.\nRequired to occasionally meet with various municipalities and vendors to review project scope and to ensure positive communication is maintained.\nFull ability and willingness to pull on call duty when assigned, as dictated by the needs of the business.\nSome local travel will be required - up to 40%.\nEstimated base salary range: $77,100 - $118,600 USD/annually\nThe base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
