Zayo serves wireless and wireline carriers, media, tech, content, finance, healthcare and other large enterprises.\nZayo is seeking a Network Engineer II - Packet (FTT) to plan and implement network augments and pop builds on the IP/Ethernet network. In this fast paced and challenging environment, the Network Engineer II - Packet (FTT) will work with various internal teams to efficiently complete implementation projects.\nResponsibilities:\nIdentify areas of backbone congestion and facilitate new IP trunk installations.\nEngineer capacity details, such as router port, cross-connect, metro/in-building dark fiber.\nUpdate status and progress in salesforce on a daily and regular basis.\nVerify and update project documentation.\nConfigure and ship equipment as required by the project.\nWork with internal teams to activate and verify the functionality of deployed equipment.\nProvide feedback for system reporting and automation.\nCreate detailed plans for network optimization opportunities.\nQualifications:\n Bachelor's degree in a related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience or minimum of three (3) years of experience in the area of IP routing and network engineering.\nPreferred Certification - JNCIA, CCNA.\nFamiliar with fundamentals of IP routing and switching, including BGP, DNS, IP address management.\nDirect and recent experience troubleshooting router connectivity in a complex routed network environment.\nDirect and recent experience using a router CLI to provision IP/Ethernet services.\nFamiliar with fundamentals of provisioning fiber based circuits in a data center environment, including patches, cross-connects, risers, and backhaul.\nExperience working in a team within a complex and fast-paced environment.\nExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to focus on the salient facts in order to resolve an issue.\nExperience organizing multiple, time-sequenced tasks across several concurrent projects.\nMust have experience with Junos and/or Nokia.\nEstimated base salary range: $61,100 - $94,000 USD/annually.\nWork Authorization Requirement: This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship.
