This role combines hands-on engineering, solution architecture, and Level 3 operational support responsibilities across multiple network security technologies, with a strong emphasis on Zscaler, Zero Trust, and cloud security.\nThe ideal candidate is an experienced network security professional who can balance strategic architecture with day-to-day operational leadership. You will partner closely with Network, Security, Identity, Infrastructure, and Application teams to deliver scalable, secure, and highly availablesolutions while mentoring engineers, leading complex troubleshooting efforts, and driving operational excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nNetwork Security Architecture\nDesign, implement, and optimize enterprise network security solutions supporting on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.\n\nArchitect scalable Zero Trust security solutions utilizingtechnologies including Zscaler, next-generation firewalls, VPNs, secure web gateways, cloud security services, and network segmentation.\n\nLead evaluations, Proofs of Concept (POCs), and implementation of new security technologies and services.\n\nDevelop technology roadmaps, standards, and best practices for enterprise network security.\n\nCollaborate with network, security, infrastructure, and identity teams to ensure secure and resilient architectures.\n\nEngineering & Operations\nServe as the senior technical escalation point for complex network security incidents and production issues.\n\nTroubleshoot advanced networking, DNS, routing, authentication, proxy, SSL/TLS, and application connectivity issues.\n\nConfigure, manage, and optimizeenterprise security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, secure web gateways, cloud access security solutions, and Zero Trust platforms.\n\nPerform root cause analysis for recurring or high-impact incidents and drive long-term remediation.\n\nMonitor platform health, performance, and user experience using enterprise monitoring and observability tools.\n\nParticipate in critical incident response and support a highly availableproduction environment.\n\nZscaler Administration\n\nAdminister and optimizeZscaler services including ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX.\n\nConfigure security policies, SSL inspection, traffic forwarding, PAC files, IPSec/GRE tunnels, and App Connector deployments.\n\nSupport Zero Trust access policies, secure application access, and cloud security initiatives.\n\nCollaborate with identity teams to integrate authentication platforms including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), CyberArk, SailPoint, and other enterprise identity providers.\n\nSecurity Governance & Automation\nDevelop and maintainsecurity standards, configuration management processes, and operational procedures.\n\nImplement automation to improve deployment, monitoring, configuration management, and operational efficiency.\n\nSupport compliance initiatives by ensuring network security solutions align with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.\n\nDevelop and maintainrunbooks, playbooks, technical documentation, and operational standards.\n\nLeadership & Collaboration\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and operations teams.\n\nLead technical discussions across infrastructure, networking, security, identity, and application teams.\n\nShare knowledge through documentation, training, and operational guidance.\n\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on service reliability, operational maturity, and customer experience.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum of seven (7) years of experience in network security, cybersecurity, or infrastructure engineering.\n\nStrong experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network security technologies.\n\nMinimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience with Zscaler technologies, including ZIA, ZPA, and/or ZDX.\n\nExperience administering one or more enterprise firewallplatforms such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point.\n\nStrong understanding of:\n\nNetwork security architecture\n\nZero Trust principles\n\nSecure Web Gateway technologies\n\nVPN technologies\n\nDNS\n\nRouting and switching fundamentals\n\nSSL/TLS\n\nIdentity and authentication\n\nExperience with cloud security and hybrid network architectures.\n\nExperience troubleshooting complex production issues and serving as a senior escalation resource.\n\nFamiliarity with enterprise identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), SailPoint, or CyberArk.\n\nExcellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nZscaler certifications (ZCP, ZDTA, ZDTE, ZDXA).\n\nCISSP, CISM, Security+, Network+, GIAC, CCNP Security, PCNSE, or equivalent certifications.\n\nExperience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Shell.\n\nExperience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and configuration management tools.\n\nFamiliarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, SOX, HIPAA, or NIST.\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a relatedfield (or equivalent experience).\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe'relooking for a hands-on network security expert who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and improving enterprise security services.
