In this role, you'll be a key player in building, scaling, and automating the next generation of our network tooling infrastructure.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, build, and maintain innovative tools and solutions to meet evolving business needs. This could be something as simple as developing a Mustache email template library for streamlined responses, or as complex as ML tools for automated troubleshooting.\nLeverage open source automation tools and scripting languages in commercial tools (e.g., Python, Ansible, ServiceNow, Salesforce, etc) to streamline NOC information gathering, internal communication, and communication with customers.\nContribute to solving complex technical and process problems, such as mass customer communication, automating responses to trouble tickets, and injecting enrichment information into trouble tickets.\nRefactor existing tools to be a cohesive suite of tools that reduce friction with our primary internal users (the NOC).\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security) to ensure security and optimal application performance.\nGuide a team of software developers through the project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.\nMonitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for optimization.\nStay up-to-date on emerging network technologies and best practices, becoming the beacon for best practices and efficient processes through the organization.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience.)\n Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in software development with a variety of languages such as Python, Javascript, SQL, and GraphQL.\nExperience working with various databases such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, and Oracle.\n Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and routing/switching technologies.\n Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible, Terraform).\nExperience with async processing and message bus communications.\nExperience in a test-driven development environment.\nStrong abilities on the Linux command line, working with various flavors of Linux, and working with docker.\nStrong understanding of applied statistics and the ability to code systems that identify outlier behavior in large systems.\nPrevious experience delivering a production software product and maintaining a high degree of users awareness.\nExcellent communication, collaboration skills, and experience using a variety of remote collaboration tools including Jira, Confluence, Google Suite, Zoom, etc.\nA passion for tackling complex problems and combining technical solutions with process solutions.\nBonus Points if you have:\n Experience working with various vendor APIs (or netconf) including Nokia, Juniper, Fujitsu, Infinera, Cisco, and Ciena.\nExperience with various network orchestration platform such as Ciena Blue Planet, Cisco NSO, or others.\nExperience with monitoring platforms such as SevOne, Assure1, and Nagios.\nExperience with Perl.\nCertifications such as CCNA, JNCIP, or other networking certifications.\nEstimated base pay range: $112,800 - $173,600 USD/annually.\nWork Authorization Requirement: This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship.
